  1. This is what happens when you're running out of pretty veneer. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/326374031422?itmmeta=01JF8SST6Y6HH2WXDHA7G8VJBN&hash=item4bfd68803e:g:9KAAAOSwV-BnYJb-&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwMxmj%2BiGvOveHXEBClPb29iBfovosKD5slLb%2BNe40u9RquWxhPsJsSu9ianxUCj%2F13w97X0q430G70UmIJYCzk3hbTPpzXiIDkAG9gnopaBbgdMgWGFWdzfJgddAxxYL%2FDsYKngb8yLppoDRs%2BOKjvdUEB3T0CXTzfg2%2FT%2B58v92IyiyAmqKUENMaepVsrQ2STqFnoRUTLRqvqxVFvYz0scQYg14Nbx6YoczERMxq2MxD9jliDKxGbu2nte1kXn60g%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR8qj55n6ZA
  2. Not many of these out there, though they aren't as rare as the seller claims IMO. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/387735676550?itmmeta=01JF8SST6YQGMTV23RM3EN5ZPX&hash=item5a46d8e686:g:yegAAOSwwchnYKc0&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwMxmj%2BiGvOveHXEBClPb29jyMhPE5QL0cdwHrrBu2j2mT3YpF7PGDw%2FEDWZ9V8HBumfv1%2BH5zdeM3XuvuFsvW2h9bjuiMfXuBp1JqjIig1IwoEqJFqLZOB2nMNYkXxWKzewZaqd0c1jkG%2BBXIVSb2g4eS43bf0Hak4dD%2BUYOXZliBdgxGObTzQg6XKKwGkyjR5veeCGPrgj0lFtOz0cqLCxjPYHOJrd4Wa4Rt16Tqr51PXML7YLXcN7epZbZiUCZfA%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR8ij55n6ZA
  3. I bought strings from Gareth. As always, all is as advertised, prompt and well packaged. A pleasure to deal with - as always. Thanks Gareth
  4. Ignorantly, I'd suggest that's a duff circuit component, in much the way that two-pickup basses need some balancing circuit or other (told you) to keep the output volume more or less similar as you change the balance between the pups.
  5. For me those are spelling. But "240" means the punter didn't even look at it.
  6. I hear you. Though some people really struggle with correct spelling, so I'm less cut+dried about that than I used to be. But the claim that it's a "240"... dear oh dear.
  7. True, but that's what we seem to call it, so...
  8. The camouflaged ramp makes me smile. (In a good way.)
  9. You'd think they would check the basics before posting, really. Electric and acoustic, my a**e. And they could have looked at it to see what was written on the headstock... (Looks like they got the AI to set the price, too.) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/365270391827?itmmeta=01JEEG44NF1PK7A8SB3H62PXCB&hash=item550bcfdc13:g:HvYAAOSwmNNnUfCj&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4Mxmj%2BiGvOveHXEBClPb29gozPtaA5BYzFDe4Ql8azKq9qvrHfZtiAKwVb1MxwFVTZi8p0SRFMqfChAlUi6NZ3ea%2BTMTUjuxt4jkPFcKSwbMvLXiq0RVDtFADkF4AcdrUc5ZbZ43jMIySmLNut7piD3wyNOD0uD9p%2FVyLiqGuNqMWvitXrc%2BJSOhilwh%2FHO9%2F4%2B3o2liWkVIn3zcrHRVhfxhPyc2ppDJ61wW09HNXtVYgi9k022VYb3Wb%2BnG33l5qE6lht4yHKuJOWOd1Ha0eHjzAN8nWrf4Oaq%2BnxW3DfGF|tkp%3ABk9SR-jKkNDzZA
  10. An Azumi, allegedly MIJ in the 1970s. I think the offset P pickup doesn't quite work with the symmetry of the rest of it, but that's probably just me. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395961567253?itmmeta=01JE4XBWBTGCGZ3TP18H8DNX4Z&hash=item5c31260815:g:m8AAAOSwMutnTcyR&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwMxmj%2BiGvOveHXEBClPb29ieFt9NVZ1KncWJcGNpDh5SDiMJ%2FBxkmmfCRUVA5%2BJX2NchxBUc%2BZOmLAvledggJw0RjVv0tniG9XReNh2iXRg11MTmfR%2Bl5Lt7i%2BhWIYDnNQdDVYebpmqi2c3vUiN0Se5AGhr9LjK1I8xqOeeRCZAv7Vv610BgbfV6Bi09DErx4%2BiaBuu11DYpTkx46MqYC8kBitADdjxc7JK%2FFQGp5JF%2BZOqFRTE96wcIPhqEkpgJlg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_rFr53xZA
  11. Phil Ward @philw is a double-bass guy living in Brighton and a thoroughly nice chap. He will know who's active there.
  12. Bizarre. I wouldn't buy a £3800 bass with an AI description, for sure.
  13. Err, what's a bass? ... Oh. Do people still do that?
  14. Might be a good buy, for the right person. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/296820789438?itmmeta=01JCVM2GW6NQYE3XKJBJBHSJDF&hash=item451be5d0be:g:JPoAAOSw-i9nOKBo&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4Mxmj%2BiGvOveHXEBClPb29jcPdZS0U%2FhoxGGFDlyxhorp7wmmdS0A3yTa8oWoGF9x8QRUrt57OX5cQRTz5PBTgB2dO9ptJkipvpmeBAR7AnHfrwBCvcJBnj4D4kX2Uq%2B8BYDvIWlq%2FszaccdUOa3Jn89e3hY%2Ft9tRZgDYb2G3uh%2BOypX4R45roTG5k3HBz91I16Y%2BmpfbRl8FWF9k683o00tr9UJ0VZTkgDrVUQk46NtnLNqbnmxtGKTm5YrKb%2BFY1N09RTm%2FI%2FrTqZaoF2rt0nGbFsGcba%2FnpsfY29XlX4i|tkp%3ABk9SR5aOivTmZA
  15. I suspect that sometimes it's because the lower "lobe" of the headstock has been broken off.
  16. I'd missed this entirely. I'm glad it's going in the right direction. Good luck!
  17. Network, network, network. The guys who decide you're not right for them might know someone who's perfect for you.
  18. You'd only have to flip the drilling jig round, though. I reckon you're most of the way there.
  19. £300 for a boot to pour p*ss out of... dear oh dear.
  20. Didn't happen. I'm trying to get the band leader to tell me what's going on.
  21. Someone's bitsa. Lots of work for little return, in my opinion. But it might be useful if you wanted a test rig. Or a way to distract yourself from something pretty serious - trying to get the wiring right would take me months. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335623927661?itmmeta=01JAGZHVKT3YP1DSHPSSKXVR5A&hash=item4e24beb76d:g:xHMAAOSwCNhnEXIW&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4Mxmj%2BiGvOveHXEBClPb29iM7VO2hZuLJ3Urgf0AV%2BhVoQBuANFcXzBqegu9ad8Sm%2FFsTALLQEWVZNcbLHBDfGW7SwED01EHfWWoa7X1cCCh%2FjOLi5F5rMlkSB29o56qisGMW1D5wFtXwkvH3JC6TLETjpUjHhZUORR9kR0h4WRYEsYnUNcsxWchpvw%2B5VnlV6VzU%2B%2F0KpsXc88qMM1sZWeexPHUfSPfmBAeeMxktKQ7ndGPBYVsKQjIciOq77LGEqJ5xVGUY3GVSeBcd0HbD8%2BUO0Jpcc2qxuqd2G50fxBN|tkp%3ABk9SR_65x5_UZA

I bought straplocks from Stu. All went well, quick and straightforward. I'd be happy to trade with him again. Thanks Stu.
  23. The red dots put me off quite a lot. Shame, it looks like an absolute beast.
  24. I bought a Kindle from Chris. All good, a nice clean quick transaction with no issues. I'd be pleased to trade with him again. Thanks Chris
  25. I see what you did there
