  1. If it was fretless I'd already have nabbed it...
  2. What's the width at the heel, please? Thanks.
  3. Tasty! Just as well it's not a fiver... :lurks:
  4. What's the scale length? And is it good for metal?
  5. A certain ex-colleague of mine (hi Mark!) insisted on getting "his" guitar tuned by the shop that sold it to him... He's not missed.
  6. I'm trying to get our lot to cover Only You - acoustic, fretless, mandolin
  7. Sea Bass Kid. Thanks José
  8. Yes. Most of the pics don't do the colour justice - look at the last one, that's a lot more like the real thing. (Not that I'd mind a pink one, personally, but the seller's not helping their own cause.)
  9. That's the only way I can play cello any more...
  10. Presumably you also need to clip the ends?
  11. They make lots of sense to me. Getting the colour right is maybe a little more awkward though? Or maybe they should be inlet by about half a millimetre?
  12. Probably just more expensive.
  13. Definitely a better place for it
  14. Agree. If I could get a fiver I'd be using it, but I can't so I've gone on to other things.
  15. They don't look much use for scrubbing your back with.
  16. Thanks. I too steer clear if there are chips, but that;s partly because any mechanical strength the body has is in the surface... yeah. I bought an Ibanez EDA905 once. That long lower horn... it went back. I don't know if the seller got his money back from the courier.
  17. Hm. Do I remember that these are luthite-bodied? Will acetone do interesting things to that?
  18. The interesting thing about all this is the seller is now going "oooh, look at all the interest I'm getting from the UK! I better push the price up on the next one!"...
  19. That first pic had me worried for a bit... looked like someone's arm, with the wrist disappearing out of shot to the left...
  20. A couple of weeks ago I went to the Fruits De Mer label's 10th anniversary gig in Glastonbury. Seven bands plus a goody bag for £25,; five of the bands were good and two average. Score
  21. Thanks I've been wanting something to do that with for a while; real DB are just too big - my dad played DB; and the first thing he asked about any car he drove was "Can I fit the bass in it?". And he had a much bigger house than I'm ever going to have. I guess I could try a viola with an octave pedal, but I'm still hankering after something with a sensible fundamental note - partly because certain guitarists think anyone can play bass, and I don't want to give them ideas...
  22. Can't compete visually with the SRF, for me.
