  2. The nut is the only potential problem IMO, and (as Sambrook says) you might find that it isn't an issue. Replacing a nut should be reasonably easy, but if you're not comfortable doing it a luthier should be able to do it fairly cheaply.

  11. This. And also, learn it backwards - learn the bars at the end first, then the bars before those, etc. etc.. That way you are always going towards something you already know, and you won't learn the start and fall apart at the end (I can't remember where I saw this, but I think it was on here...
