    The DiMarzio looks as if it might have come from a Vox Standard; quite a lot of Standards were cannibalised for the pup, IIUC.

    Not a fan, partly because it's so obviously blingy and partly because of the reputation it has for wearing off. That may be because I'm behind the times though.

    According to my sister (she tried to learn a few years ago), bassoons are bl00dy expensive and quite demanding to learn. Also the whole wind-instrument transposing thing seems silly to me. How hard can it be to write stuff down sensibly?!
