1. Okay, that sale might still fall through...
2.
"Double bass" - title "Good condition double bass with 2 drawers" - description 4 pictures of double bed :-)
Ahhh... light dawns. Thank you
3. Dag nabbit... :looks for trade stuff: ...
4.
Jazzhacker scales & modes fur 6 string bass was bought last night. £3.12 wie £2 credit back fae Amazon. It'd been wrong no tae buy it
Indeed. But I doubt the tuning would work for me - that seems to use guitar tuning. I'd rather stick with the fixed interval. (One of my guitarists has a Yamaha 6er, tuned in Guitarish. Can't do a thing with it. ) Edit: Okay, my mistake... It looks like he's borrowed the format from his Guitar ebook, and forgotten to change the sentence about "standard tuning". The actual charts are against BEADGC tuning.
5.
Until the Dorset contingent arrive it's looking that way
Late for the train, as usual
6. I should know better than to click on links like that ...
7. It certainly looks nice. Sounds like a result
8. Hofner, possibly, with that wide control-panel horn?
9.
Mrs Painy is a pharmacy dispenser which means standing for prolonged periods on a hard floor which can often lead to these kinds of problems. In the pharmacy they provide pressure mats (like small rubber gym mats) to stand on which help prevent it. Bananas may help as a source of potassium. Your doctor may also be able to prescribe quinine if needed but all the above is generally good advice.
Quinine is bad for you; I'd avoid it unless you've been prescribed it. The FDA (in the USA) has posted advice saying it shouldn't be taken unless prescribed, and not for leg cramps. https://www.fda.gov/...s/ucm218202.htm Edit: UK medical/pharma people (including Mrs Painy) may disagree; I don't know. But if the official US government medicines agency says it's not a good thing to take, it's probably worth avoiding.
10. I keep wanting to defret one
11.
Just as well. Horrible.
I should clarify, having actually read the description. Technically it's really interesting. Fibreglass body and magnesium-alloy neck... that would be interesting to play. And I hadn't realised they were so rare. Still a capital-B Bad look though.
12.
It's a lovely bass !
True. I'm glad you're now well enough to sell it
13. I'm going to bump this even though I haven't fixed the pics, just because it might actually push me into fixing it...
14.
You don't see these for sale very often. http://www.ebay.co.u...HUAAOSwurZZHdWh
Just as well. Horrible.
15. I reckon Fotherington-Tomas is more in the Rick Wakeman mould... huge banks of keyboards and home-build analogue electronics. You can hear it... Intro is the wet+weedy voice, "Hello Clouds... Hello Sky..." and BROOOOAAAAAA... 15-Hertz bowel-shaker noise.
16.
A Pink DaisyRock bass?
I want one of those as well
17. Batman fighting Superman: 'The Dark Knight Returns', Frank Miller, 1986. Maybe it would have gone differently if these had been invented then... you just can't build Fenders out of Kryptonite. Tempted... very tempted.
18. Squier P went for £142. It's pickup only so it might be back
