1. Interesting - I've ambitions to do the same, when I've got the time (hee hee), so I'm pleased to see this thread.
2. There were quite a lot of Italian violin/viola basses made in the 60s (Eko, IIRC, and others), and I think some Bulgarian-made ones. Could it be one of those?
3. Nice colour
4.
Those cracks put me right off. I bought one of these a few years ago, in goldfish orange. Sadly when it arrived the body had snapped clean in half.
Exactly this. I bought one, and it lost its lower horn in transit. I'd hold out for an original wooden one (an Affirma, IIRC), but they are not easy to find and not really within my price range.
5. Wow. I think I probably want one... not that I can afford one or find space for it.
6. Sounds fascinating, I wish I could see the pics... Photobucket prevents it.
7. I suppose you could keep the ramp...
8. I wonder if there's a market for gizmos like that? Elegant.

SOLD

Just wondering if you might want to edit the title... when I saw it on the Basses For Sale page I read it as "pants P-bass"
10. None of my business, but wouldn't this be more likely to sell in the DB/EUB sales section?
11. ... on purpose. At least, I can't work out a way to do that by accident... probably why I'm not rich and (in)famous, I suppose.
12. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ibanez-Ergodyne-EBD550-4-string-Bass-Walnut-finish-collection-only-S-Cambs/182671611758 Not all that many of these about. Mislabelled as an EBD550, so if you're looking for one of these it may have slipped past. (But be cautious if there are cracks around the lower horn...) 20 hours to run, 4 bids, at £100 - which IMO would be cheap for it.
13.
Howdy alyctes - yes it is, your normal 42mm Oooh, nice
Bit wide for me, sadly. GLWYS!
14. That's ... quite odd. I suppose you'd have no problems with damping the unplayed set of strings, at least.
15.
The logo is done very tastefully!
It is, isn't it
16. I don't usually like reliced basses, but that's quite something.
17. Is this "normal" 42mm-ish P-bass width at the nut? I think I may have a cunning plan
18.
Thanks! have you still got the Aria fretless? Playing Unlined fretless is actually very instinctive, much easier than people often think.....why not give it a try?
I have; it's a keeper, though it doesn't get played much - good to take on holiday though I've still got the Cimar P as well, though it's wearing a Collins J neck nowadays. Sadly, my lack of confidence is not for lack of trying :/
19. That looks very nice, and John's a nice guy I've bought from twice already Sadly, I don't need it and I've no confidence in my ability to play unlined FL nowadays. Good luck with it!
20. Gone... anyone here get it?
