1.
Yes, I think it would be a great instrument, in terms of portability. According to Wikipaedia, the scale length of a Cello is 27.4 inches (695 mm) - which is shorter than short scale bass guitar
Yes, cello is about that length. Well, mine is, anyway Portable is another matter, of course. Don't forget the angled FB and the bridge and soundbox height...
2. I used to know someone who found his motto on a box of matches: Keep Dry And Away From Children.
3. "Ended because the item is lost or broken." So £51 it was then...
4. I'd like one, when I have the money (haha) and can find one without that hideous rectangular control plate...
5.
No I just post what colour bin I'm putting out. Along with some other nonsense. Something like: It's Friday February 14th, can only mean one thing.. Black Bin today. Or It's the second Friday after the the first bank holiday in May, must be Brown bin today. Some people get it. Some don't. My wife doesn't understand it... I might do it as a deeply philosophical comment about the dull existence of a middle aged man, or maybe I just do it to make people smile, or puzzle them. It's up to the reader to decide. .
:like:
6. Pretty. Too many strings for me though.
7. Very, very silly. And that's just the asking price...
8. The colour doesn't do it any favours, does it? Not bright enough to be properly in-your-face, but too purple to be ignored. Not a good look IMO. I don't like the split body either side of the bridge/tuners much, either. The top horn, though; that's classy.
9. That looks lovely. Good luck with your sale
10. Blimey. I love the colour, not so keen on the headstock though - you could do someone harm with that, I reckon.
11. I've got a defretted one. It's not getting much use, but that isn't its fault
12. I agree with other people re. acoustics - someone I know says they are useful to practice with because you don't have to plug them in though. Semi-acoustic might work well, a Yamaha BEX 4 (if you can find one, mine aren't for sale) or an Epiphone Jack Casady or similar. Would a viola-style bass work? Harley Benton do a cheap one so you can see if it's a viable option for not very much.
13.
Bassmachine2112 Alyctes is a very bad man for trying to tempt you with a pink Foundation There's no active/passive switch on either the BXP AC or USA Millenniums so that leaves the passive BXP with the single coils. I've never played one so can't say how they sound & I've only saw rosewood boards
It's not in very good nick, TBH - quite battered. (Not my fault, honest.) But it did convince me about Peavey basses. It's a little brute.
14. Ooh... I think I'll keep my eye on that one. Ten bids already though.
15.
Q4 Pro for £280 http://www.ebay.co.u...CMAAOSw2xRYcn8H
Didn't go at that price... ! Now relisted.
16. Any idea why they won't ship to the USA? Seems odd.
17.
Every garage should have one. Lovely
Okay, that's a plan. First, buy a garage...
