1.
Weird havnt seen this brand in years, one cropped up in Dublin for sale the other day....its sorta tempting in order to start a pitchshifter tribute band. Glws
Thanks.
2.
Two of them already in my hands (Christian McBride 'Number Two Express' and Brand X 'Unorthodox Behaviour'). And it was a real pleasure to deal with Mike, a very nice pal. The CDs are in very good condition too.
Thanks I'm pleased they got to you intact and that you like them.
3. TBH with that body shape I'm quite pleased you can't see it. Orrible.
4.
How do you kill someone with a carrot?
In the dark.
5. Nice! (I'll censor my usual reasons for not being able to buy it, because you've heard them before... )
6. I've owned a Prosebass fretless before. It was gorgeous, and I nearly kept it, even though I wasn't all that keen on the short scale If this was full-scale, I'd be in deep trouble.
7.
if its not sold ill take it
You have a PM.
8. Peavey Foundations... woof woof. Great basses.
9. And it's back up again: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VIGIER-ARPEGE-111-FOUR-STRING-BASS-FROM-1991-/232108841206?hash=item360ac3d8f6:g:GQIAAOSw3ihXTFhG
10. In Leeds, "collection only" but they will courier for £15, currently no bids at £100. Finishes tomorrow (Monday). http://www.ebay.co.u...eMAAOSwvzRX1E~r Not too sure about the marks on the neck, mind.
11. Pink Westfield P-bass with an extra P pickup. Reluctantly I'm selling my P-P Westfield. Passive, four-string, pink (I like pink basses). It has had a Wilkinson P-pickup added close to the bridge. Controls are VVT. I like it, I'd be keeping it if I didn't have something nicer in the P-P line. There is some discoloration on the pink body, which I've tried to show. The added scratchplate for the second pup is 40-thou styrene sheet, I think, and is definitely hand-made on close inspection. From 10 feet away, it looks fine. Pics are here: https://postimg.org/gallery/2jvtht76c/ £120 plus carriage.
12. P-style body, routed P-J. This is a body from a Sonderberg P-J bass, good for a project. It's wood, not ply. The neck had 22 frets. The neck pocket is a touch under 63mm wide. The paint is a pale gold metallic. It has one small chip, shown. The paint and finish has minor flaws which are hard to photograph. It has never had a scratchplate. The horns are somewhat more pointed than the rather lumpy Fender P body, which personally I think is prettier. Pics: https://postimg.org/gallery/31c825i8k/ £25 plus carriage.
13. So far, you're right... I don't like it at all. Partly because the ergonomics look strange - you couldn't rest your right forearm on it, so I reckon it would be tricky for a pick player. Fixed-thumb finger style would probably be OK.
14. I have never been that keen on gigging. I don't enjoy performing, and I'm not good at it. I'm particularly not keen on playing stuff I hate just because it's popular. (TBH I probably wouldn't mind the playing; it's having to listen to it in order to learn it that I hate.) Currently the band I'm in plays at most seven or eight gigs a year, mostly to pension-age audiences; our youngest member is 42, and he's never played live. We don't get paid any significant amount. I do it to play music, not to perform, and by and large the people I'm interested in pleasing are my bandmates and myself.
15. I don't like the look of that crack in the back of the neck. Is that just the lacquer, I hope?
16. Here, I always leave feedback (unless I forget - which I don't think I do, but how would I know?). On eBay, not so much - it's too obviously a business tool and too fiddly and prescriptive. I leave feedback because I dealt with a person.
17. They do look good. I had one and got rid of it, partly because I didn't get on with the neck (too bulky). I'd intended to sort out a way of combining the two outputs (mag and piezo), but I never found the time.
