3.
Mine is. I set the camera up, I set the self timer, I pushed the button and I posed.
Same here
4.
Surely a selfie is a pic you've taken yourself?
That's what I had in mind yes. Keep em coming
5.
Yeah, I'm game - here's an oldie. I look a bit older, a bit more stressed and way more tired..
I'm not surprised with all those strings on a bass Thanks for posting the pic.
6. Away at Boarding School and counting myself lucky to have my own table tennis racket and cricket bat to while away the free hours. I think if I started playing at 11 (actually I was 14) I'd still be tone deaf and struggling That kid's going in the right direction tho.
7.
Looking at the shadows, is the sun rising or setting in the north?
A bit of shade and light there, beautiful Autumn day. NNE the bass and me are looking Get your pics out!
8.
I can't be the only one who's worried what Discreet might post...
Oops I hadn't thought of that!
9. Thought this might be fun and also a way to meet/see some of the other bass chatters with their basses.
10. Fetish Guitarded, made me laugh, but couldn't watch it to the end lol.
11. I do sometimes, my Retrovibe Rick copy gets used a bit. I like to rotate and give them each a gig once in a while.
12. I have had basses I never thought I would sell but did ended up moving them on in the end. I'm waiting on a Wal being built for me, being my first custom build I'd like to think this will be one I will keep.
13. Stunning. Have a bump. It looks in better nick than I do for the age.
14. Off topic But I was in a band once that the drummer had one of Topper Headon's old ridecymbal's and the guitarist used one of Pete Townshend's old Hiwatt cabs They picked them up cheaper than the going rate at the time.
15. Good to hear. I do like their Elites players series strings as well, I really should order more. Was going to post about them before.
16.
They are lovely basses. If I was in the market for a bass now they'd be top of the list. Can't wait for a gig review!
Thanks, they are very nice baases. Not very good at reviews but here goes. I used it last night for the first time live, it's very easy to play, light in weight and has a fairly fast neck. Eq was almost flat on the bass, very slight bump to the low and top end. Only rolled the treble off for a couple of Reggae'ish songs. I used the PJ setting on the bass for most of the set, did go double splitcoil and also humbucker - jazz for a song each, which was very easy to do with a flick of the switch. The bass has a sound of it's own imo and it's not just cloning those classic basses. I'm very happy with it and plan to use it again live . Short clip below, forgive the mistakes and the bad b-vox, We only do it for fun. New strings on it here so a bit of Zing, through my trusty Rumble, as well as some DI out FOH. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jY51ie09pAo&feature=youtu.be
17.
Those pickups are amazing, I played one of these at a show. Any combo of MM, P or J that you want. Enjoy, I know you will.
Thanks. I did a straight 6 hours on it last night and it's a joy to play. Gig tonight so will take it along. Rock n' Roll blues on it (might put the odd pop slap in lol)
18.
looks interesting - no idea what it is but i like it!
Thanks. It's an Enfield Lionheart, with the Sims super quad pickups
19. Love them or hate them, here it is This one seems to of done the rounds on here, but hopefully now it has found a permanent home. This was a straight trade for a bass that I wasn't playing. This one slipped under the wifes radar so all good Gig tomorrow and I might just use this. Plays a dream and sounds fairly decent.
20. and.. shock horror it's not Fender related Enfield Lionheart.
21. Congrats, nice bass. It's an F series Fender from that timescale, had a 70/71 just like it once. In my experiance the early 70's Fenders are very nice, haven't come across a bad one yet.
22.
Depends who's it was and what album. If I was a fan of them then maybe Mines worth more now because I have done 2 albums with it, right!
23. Depends who's it was and what album. If I was a fan of them then maybe
24. I guess Roto's were the order of the day for the British players.
25.
I have a Custom maruszczyk on order. I really should learn to spell that rather than having to look it up every time! 1 week down, 14 weeks to go..
I'm sure you'll learn to spell it by the time it arrives Keep us posted.
