1. Fantastic. Luckily for me that's a bit too rich for my blood. I might add the best Precision I own is one I bought off Simon. He certainly know's his basses.
2. Like some of their other stuff but not that version Roxanne.
3.
You've all been had http://worldnewsdail...-by-look-alike/
Hahaha. Ringo's not lost his sense of humour then.. I guess it gets boring for him doing the same type of interviews for the past 50 odd years.
4. I'm not sure how much of that new Rumble sound actually comes from the amp. If that's what your looking for? I have a shuttle 6 that sounds very different to the rumble.Like chalk and cheese Both nice in their own way. The Rumble sounds a lot more aggressive and punchier and warmer to my ear and that's what I like with this combo. As a stand alone cab I have no idea how they sound.
5.
Is it any good though?
For that price I would say yes, as long as you don't intend moving it about much.
6. Got the idea from Scott's post on FB. Nothing too dramatic from me to start.
7. I always like this one for the feel good factor, https://www.youtube....h?v=2_9QooYDYtU
8. That is good to hear Lozz. I had a mate that went along, have to ask him about it. I haven't played the 100 Club in over 30 years.
9. Thanks. I somehow missed this the first time round. Fair enough to say that if I worked through all that and got it down, it would improve my bass playing and composition10-fold.
10.
Great! Don't forget your music stand.
lol. They're only for posers!
11. I have now decide without a doubt that out of all my P basses my 73 P, has the best sound and feel (so no P gas to be found).. one small step..
12.
SVT and 8X10 incoming..?
Where's the like button
13. Here's one more for you, a short clip from last Saturday, the GoPro was just picking a mix of the on stage sound and what I had going through my monitor. My personal experience is that they are ok for audio, but the Zoom's get you much better sound quality. I have the Zoom Q2 HD (you get video with it as wel)l, not as versatile as the GoPro video wise , it's a bit of a trade off. I think the Hero 4 is out now and have no idea if the sound quality is any better with that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhpQMq9yccc&feature=youtu.be
14. After using a full-on SVT Classic and 810 at the last gig.. I now know what all the fuss was about
15. We had a great one last night, supporting Dr Feelgood. Nice to just turn up with bass in-hand, without the usual load in load out drama. Slight gas now for an 810
16.
Excellent! We do a mix of covers/originals, all classic R'n'B as well. The covers are mainly Dr. Feelgood, funnily enough!
They had a supplied Ampeg SVT 810 for the backline, so I didn't have to get the Rumble out of the car in the end
17.
Got the 2nd amp of the week today, this time from Gear4Music. Great news is that it doesn't appear to have any of the problems of the last one. Got band rehearsal tonight, so a good chance to crank it up and see how it performs. Bad news was that it arrived without a UK power lead, only a European one. Quick call to G4M, and they apologised and said they'd get one out to me ASAP. Luck seems to be against me this week! Have a gig on Saturday, so with that and the rehearsal, I'll post some thoughts back on the amp's performance. First impressions, it looks great!
That's more like it Lot's of rumbling going on then, we support Dr Feel good on Saturday and my Rumble will get the nod.
18. Hearing Metal box for the first time, those deep dark rumblings started me off. and at the grand old age of 51, still trying.
19. All credit to TC, I posted about the combo's arriving busted (bought it originally from Thomann) and TC arrange collection and delivery of a working model. Those were when the BG500 just came out.
20. That sucks. I'd also guess they sent you out a return or it was badly handled during transportation. I feel somewhat guilty for pushing them so much. I had kind of the same thing with a TC combo I bought, I had to send 2 back before I got a keeper and still have it, been fine for around 5 years now.
21. Sorry to hear that, very disappointing. No buzz's or rattles on mine.
22.
+1, looks the business! Is there another Rumble or Fender which would work as a cab? Just thinking further down the line...or is the only option a different brand?
They do a V3, 115 and 410 cabinet as well.
23. Love it Del ! Here's how I have mine stacked for the bigger gigs, (gramma pad under it)
