1. Looks and sounds really nice When I have to start looking around again for a new amp.. might have look at these.
 2.
Todays GAS is for a P bass...... one of those 63 reissue ones in sonic blue.... or maybe one of the white ones.... Although the 112 GAS from earlier in the week hasn't gone away it's just got more bergantino shaped
lol, I'd say your onto a good thing.
 3. So. I got to use this in anger at rehearsal today, absolutely great and the rest of the band loved it Gig tomorrow but as I have no case for it yet, it will have to stay at home
 4. Thanks Guys. The Dunlop Nickle plated I love them when they work, but so far out of 4 packs I have a dead E out of the bag and then an A snapped at the ball end stringing up another fresh set.. Not a great record!. Top marks to Strings Direct have been great on getting me a fresh new set each time I have had a problem tho
 5. lol. at the moment this one. My Bandmates have asked me to stop TRYING to play every pause we have . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgntkGc5iBo
 6. Hi. It's one of those great feelings when the new bass arrives. Got the hots for one of these and managed to find one of the last Korean ones new. Never thought I'd be going back to Warwick (nothing wrong with them) I used a Streamer for 15 years or so, but have been mainly all Fender since. The fit and finish on this is great, setup nicely from the shop, Just strung it with some Dunlop rounds and it sounds really nice, I was thinking flats but it already has a very dark sound on both pickups. It's very easy to play, the neck is super quick, think a nice Jazz. It feels a bit strange standing up playing it at the moment, the neck feels very long for some reason, 34" A crap camera phone photo doesn't really do it any justice, it's bit darker looking than the powder blue it looks here.. but I know the score, no pic, no bass
 7.
Hi Highfox. I don't know, but I guess maybe I could. I'm not up to speed with your Axe turnover rate as compared to mine. I have gone through a good number of Axes in 46 years playing. You only go around once.
Good attitude, I like it
 8.
I had GAS for a Gibson SG Std. Walnut, until yesterday when I ordered it. I should have it delivered on Thursday, Ja. 30th.
You seem to get through more basses than I do!
 9. Lol, I said in December I had none, now have an incoming bass
 10.
What,s the little box ?,could this be the secret ?
I think that was a stand-by DI.. it wasn't plugged into anything.. The secret is in Norms fingers and his work rate.
 11. Had to have a sneak peek at what settings Norman Watt-Roy was using on the SVT with an 8-10 the other week. It sounded awesome with the Rhythm-stick clone, lots of lowend and the highs were there as well. 12.
With that budget, Early 70s all the way. Prices are still reasonable-ish, they're generally well-built and a good weight, and they have a feel all of their own.
I'd agree with WOT, I have a 1970 P and it's by far the best Fender I have ever tried or bought.(Norman Watt-Roy wanted it off me last week ) There is something to be said for the older ones.
 13.
Wow they are both very pretty! I especially love the one on the right. Great colour combo!
They sound and look very sweet, congrats.
 14. I've only had one Mexican and it was a Dog.. Lots of Americans and they have been fine along with the Japanese. That's been my experience.
 15.
Happened to me with a Ric. Coveted a Ric, Bought a Ric, played the Ric, Ric stayed under bed for a year...sold the Ric.
I'm there right now.. They are great basses, I have been raving about mine on here but it just doesn't suit me for some reason.. It goes to a new owner on Wednesday.. the gas has already started for something else.
 16. Your welcome Geoff. Still sorting though pictures, but put a small set up here if anyone is interested. http://www.flickr.com/photos/8374568@N07/sets/72157639924398873/
 17. So, we supported Wilko tonight and the boys were really on form (as usual). We played pretty well as well and really had a ball I took some DSLR footage (and pics) of the gig the sound is a bit rough, recording wise, but you can see how hard Norman works. I had a nice long chat with him and he even had a go on my bass before the soundcheck and topped it off by saying if I ever wanted to sell it, I should contact him first He also said the Bass Centrer had made a signature version of his rhythm stick and that's what he used tonight. Sounded great with a the full SVT stack. I got a load of photos and more video if anyone wants to see? I even managed to get Wilko to sign my Tele. a really TOP night.
 18.
today, my new tribute will be making a video. It's quite exciting really. Playing live.I'll post it up when it's done
Look forward to seeing it
 19.
£660 for a 4 string. Mine was the last of the Koreans and I've not had such a flawless finish on a Bass new before.
I think I'd be all over that as well. Guess I discovered them too late.
 20.
I was going to get one of the sale ones off Thomann but they sold out
Yes, they don't do the pro version anymore I have been thinking about the Rockbass version, but not sure they are worth the asking from new? If I could find a pro version used or new at decent price I think I'd go for it sorry for the hijack MM
 21. Thought I had enough nice basses, but my goodness those Warwick star basses are something else. Even the slightly cheaper Korean pro model sound and look great to me. Not sure about the RB model, I see them on Thomann. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ6POehTlP8 Anyone out there using them, or know where I can find used
 22. Not sure if it's of any help or not, but I run a Ray with a TH 5oo and a pair of GS112's. I have the volume on the Ray down about half way and let the drive and gain form the TH drive the signal. I run mine at loud venues with drive and gain at about 12'0 clock with a slight boost to the bass and treble.. volume I never usually need to go past about 10-11pm.. Good to know about the clip but never seen it yet.
 23.
It's a Creedence medley. You know, just the type of song that needs chords, slapping and over-hand left hand percussion on a 6-string.
lol.
 24. If you still enjoy it.. do it. I don't fake it when I get up.. it's all passion. It's a hobby for me and I'm lucky enough to still get some £ out of it from time to time.. Can't be bad.
