1. How about this one as well?
2. Wow! that seems a great deal, some ones going to be very happy.
3. Awesome, a little bit of talent and skill with all those guys
4. For me it was almost night and day in the sound form my first EB MM and my now Pre.EB... The Pre-EB is much smoother and warmer in sound, that's been a fact for me and possibly why I like the Ray so much again.
5. Follow up on this.. I took a Ray to practice last night (first time in ages normally it's the P) and the singer/guitarist asked if I could use it at the next gig "that bass sound will definitely wake people up" was what he said. The P with flats might be a little mellow for his taste I think the Rockier stuff we do the Ray fit's nicely and the more mellow blues style the P. I might have to toy with the un-cool idea of swapping basses mid set lol. I like both but will give the Ray the nod next gig in January
6. If it had to be one, then the P. Really depends a bit more on what kind of sound I'm after.
7. I like the song, but not so much the vid
8. IN Rick 4003 Pre EB MM StingRay Fender 1970 P bass TH-500 Aguilar 112 GS x2 GB Shuttle 6 OUT EB Stingray Fender 2006 P bass EBS Classic 112's x2 GB Streamliner 600 Ibanez Promethan 500 Combo A lot of in's and out's this year..
9. Not sure if it was Santa, but pre Crimbo I bought myself a Pre EB MM StingRay,, not bad The rest of it is about spending time with the Family. Have a good one
10.
Nearly 20 years ago I was standing in the Bass Centre when a guy came in trying to sell a Mk1 Wal for about £300. Nick told him they weren't interested!! How times have changed!
I traded my MK1 in Wapping for a new Streamer stage 1 + about £700 back in 89
11.
Don't let him use your amp though he he
Not the first time I have heard that! lol Been told we can use the back-line, not sure still if I'll take my own gear or not.. Norm seems to be Ashdown theses days and not TE anymore, would that be right?
12. No Norm, that would be a real shame. Glad nothing has happened to him tho as we are supposed to be supporting Wilko in a few weeks time and looking forward to seeing NWR kicking out the licks. (selfish I know)
13. How much do you want for just the neck? Only joking! Great looking bass and Juan is 100% trustworthy with his gear.
14.
I've had five Rays - I love the idea of them, the look of them (especially the sunburst/maple), the design of them, even the sound of them...when other people are playing them. I recorded part of our album with one, but live...not for me. Whenever I haven't got one (like now), I'm always susceptible; even after five, I know damn well if a nice sunburst and maple turned up, I'd be all over it...that's GAS for you...
Something like this you mean?
15. I had a Ray sold it, and I then ended up getting another.. I just love it for it's tone and playability.. The P-bass I use more with the bands, but do love to record with the Ray and use that at home all the time for practice. I guess I'm lucky in that I don't have to choose just one bass Keep it and get yourself a P bass as well and you'll be nearly covered is my advice
16. Bought a nice MM Stingray off J. Great communication throughout, Fast shipping, well packed and as described. Another great Basschatter, deal with confidence. Don.
17. .. and I always thought I'd had the best looking Stage 1. awesome bass , good price.
18. I have the Zoom Q2, which has the bonus of recording video as well. + Good sound recording quality. Video is even decent in fairly low light. I like to record rehearsals and gigs sometimes, it's small and can be hidden easily - it only runs on batteries and has no line in It's nearly perfect for me.
19. I've had my 4003 for about a year now, I've toyed with the idea of getting rid of it as I don't use it as much as I'd like to, but can't actually bear the thought of letting it go! It's another one of those I dreamed of having looking through the music mags as a nipper growing up
20.
I can find any copies, someone has put a stop to them
Copies, don't make up for the real thing

Totally stoked!
Don't let him use your gear if he is.
I was hoping to use his lol.
22. Highfox

Totally stoked!

Thanks Gary. If I could of chosen any Band to support playing here in Finland.. Wilko would of been right up there on the top of my list.
23. Highfox

Totally stoked!

Just found out we will be playing support for Wilko Johnson when he gigs here in Finland! Not sure if Norm will be there as well, but I'm totally stoked and can't believe it
24. Playing live my 1970 P beats them all still, easy to play, fairly light weight and always has the thump with flats that totally fills the gap left for the bass. Recording it can depend on what sound I'm after, love a P, Jazz, Rick or Ray.
