I've always liked that tune.. hadn't heard it in ages. The studio version is really nice. Sounds like he had a bit of trouble with the triplets here and there, I think I'd do a lot worse job of it lol. It's live cut the guy some slack and he seems to be getting into it a bit and not just standing there with his eyes glued to the fretboard,

I've only ever owned one Mexican Fender, a Jazz that I bought untried It was a mid 80's job and a dog... I swapped in some USA pups which didn't really help.. seemed to have no resonance and most of the strings buzzed or rattled no matter how high the action was. I know there are some good Mexican models like the Roadworns, Geddys and Classic series, but mine was a real pos. I'd definitely need to try one before I'd buy Mexican again. I guess the guy that sold me it knew it was crap and kind of my fault as I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of sending it back. You live and learn.

90% of the time I have been useing pre for both recording and live. What do you guys prefer and why? Haven't mic'd my cab up for years now.

Yes, deffo get it looked at. Had my 600 about a year and a half and it never did anything like that. 4-5 hours of use and the air coming out would be as cool as when I first switched it on. I did have a shuttle that went and needed a valve changing.

For me it would be the Clash. Don't think I'd do a good a job of it as Simmo tho! lol Making any kind of music with Strummer post Clash would of been great as well.

[/quote] I think your not alone in that a lot of us like to chop and change around a bit.. I went in the last 2 years from the shuttle 6.0, to the Streamliner 600 and now have a Th500 on the way. I have been happy with every change I've made so far. It's not set in stone that you have to stick with one amp. Enjoy.

Not sure about my own stage presence! but I'm bored to tears after about 5 minutes if watching a band and all they do is look at the floor or their fretting hands.. Guess it also depends on what kind of music your play, either-way I like a bit of eye contact or at least interaction between the Band.

I bought a new 4003 a few months back and I'd say even DI'd it's definitely not low on bottom end and all treble! and that comes from a P-bass type guy.

My first and only Wal was the passive single pickup, think it was before the Pro's !%? but it had been modded with a select switch and what looked like an Aria Pro pickup of some sort.. I have a pic of it somewhere I think. Wonder where it went, I traded it in at the Basscenter in Wapping when I bought my Warwick.
