  1. Getting Spector envy just looking at that list. Where do you keep them all
  2. I still use my neo Genz 212, use it with the Shuttle, Streamliner and now the Tonehammer all 500w and never run out of volume using that cab. Something not right me thinks.
  3. Nice one. I have been gasing for a Jaydee for a good while now! Great to hear people are still happy with them One day!
  4. Yes, that place, who remembers it? Just came across an old and tatty receipt I had for the Warwick I bought from Wapping. Think I told the tale before, went there with the anticipation of buying a MM 4 HH they didn't have any so walked out the door with a Streamer. used it for a solid 15 years so no regrets.
  5. Yes it is. That was 79 and Wobble was King for me. That was our first gig at the local youth club, only started playing bass a few weeks before. Remember it like yesterday! We only knew 3 songs Public Image , pretty Vacant and a dodgy version of White riot. We played each song about 3 times until nearly everyone had left. Our drummer was good tho
  6. Yes it does. Had no ashtray on mine or finger rest, but guess they are of the sameish vintage.
  7. Ditto! Ditto! A few years back now
  8. I think they were called Dross. When will I (I be) be famous!?
  9. I was big into Killing Joke and the Clash at that time. Funny I still have that strap.
  10. Yes, I'd like to think my playing has come on a bit since then, definitely broadened my musical palette over the years. ( a friend of mine still has that Blazer bass, I gave it to him to look after)
  11. More weight less hair nowadays! Playing the Ibanez Blazer I must of just purchased. Taken at Kensington Rehearsal rehearsal, if anyone remembers there.
  12. I'm a little scared to write I still think I have a few more than I need. I only use one or 2 max with the bands so really don't NEED the others, but I do enjoy having them and they are always out on the stands at home to use. I think 4 would do it for me a fretless, P bass, my Wal and the (gassing for) Jaydee Each to their own I guess.
  13. Only used them on a fretless P and they sat perfect. Maybe it's the gauge that's causing the problem, not hard to move the saddles up a bit and add a bit more tension to the truss rod, go easy tho.
  14. The Wal I waited nearly 2 years to be built. Fits like a glove
  15. Fugly for me, but what do I know, I play a Wal these days
  16. sitting in da mix nice Funny how (carp) a nice solo tone can sound in the mix innit.
  17. Nice! Great song. They did a good version last night.
  18. Had the pleasure of seeing this band live for the first time in Helsinki last night. Still, monster players even if they had big shoes to fill. The rhythm section of Val on bass and Trevor "Sparrow" Thompson were something to behold if that kind of music rocks your boat. The tenor sax guy Zem Audu blew the sweetest sax I think I ever heard. A short vid Val (I had to)
  19. Bruce's always stand out for me. and some JJ. This one was always a way to test my new stereo systems
  20. Stick with the black, it's a classic. I put a white pearl guard on my black and maple Ray but went back to the black after some time,
  21. Still got the Jaydee itch lol!
  22. The V3 Rumble 500's all have DI-outs, if that is the version you are meaning? Personally (and normally I'm doing smallish gigs) but even with full-Pa support I like to hear my cab behind me and the 500 combo is a one hand lift and goes louder than I have ever needed.
  23. I agree, imo the new V3 cab voicing's contribute a lot to what makes these stand out from the previous versions.
  24. Very nice! That is some collection!
