1. Get a 4x15 and wheel it into the house. Tell your missus it's a 4x10 and you made a mistake and you didnt think it'd be so big! Then, return the 4x15 and buy a 4x10. She'll appreciate the effort you've made into buying a "smaller" cab just to keep her happy! Truckstop
2. I use a hardcase when I'm on tour with the rest of the band. It's easier to stack stuff on top of a rectangular case innit? But for rehearsals and stuff, the gigbag is fine. Truckstop
3. Ah yes, sorry, my mistake! Truckstop
4. Really? Korn's Fieldy uses Ibanez (the K5), Limp Bizkit's Sam Rivers used Ibanez for their first 3 albums (then started using Warwick for the CSATHFW tour) and Chi Cheng uses Fenders (are Deftones nu-metal?). Linkin Park (Ibanez), Dry Kill Logic (Washburn), Fear Factory (?) and Ill Nino (Cort (IIRC correctly from an old Kerrang! interview)) didnt use Warwick either. Paul Gray used Warwick, but I'd hardly call Slipknot nu-metal. They were just unlucky enough to come out and get big with all the other Nu-Metal dross. When I was growing up in the middle of the nu-metal era, everyone wanted an Ibanez because everyone used them! I'd never even heard of Warwick until I played with Enter Shikari way back in 2002! The fact is, is that Warwick priced themselves out of the market when people cottoned on to the fact that they're great instruments. Truckstop
5. That precision is gorgeous! I don't suppose you'd like to work out a payment plan? £50p/m for a long long time?! Truckstop
6. I bought some Marcus Miller fatbeams the other day and the B broke at the tuning peg while I was fitting it. Not impressed! I've bodged it and bought an Ernie Ball blinky for the B. Truckstop
7. I'd definitely love one! A brass 'Badass' would look the wick on my Jazz! Truckstop
8. I'm after a Pedaltrain Junior too but nowhere seems to have any in stock! I thought I lucked out with CamdenSounds last week as they said it'd be at my door in 2-4 working days, but then emailed saying it'd probably be closer to 2 weeks. I cancelled my order! I don't want my money sitting in their bank making them money! Mugs. Truckstop
9. He's a lefty! Get him! But seriously though, that is wonderful! Amazing technique and very musical. Truckstop
10. Oh, you want both at the same time?! I would say it can't be done and you're a complete mentalist. Running two instruments stimultaneously through the same effects and then splitting the signal after the effects so that the bass ends up at the amp and the keys end up at the DI?! You would either need to mod all your pedals to carry two signals, or buy another set of pedals and just deal with it. Truckstop
11. And, to be honest, it's not as bad as the G&Ls some guy chopped up a while ago. Most of the 'damage' looks like it'll wash off and at least he's bothered to relic the hardware! Plus, it's a wick colour! Truckstop
12. To get my head around it, I've drawn a diagram in my head that just involves the use of two A/Bs (assuming the OP doesnt want volume or equaliser control for each channel). Scenario 1 - bass > pedals > amp Scenario 2 - keys > pedals > D.I. > P.A. So you'd need one A/B before the pedals (bass and keys into pedals), and an A/B after the effects (pedals into channel one (amp) and into channel 2 (D.I. and P.A.). The pain in the arse obviously being, you don't want to have to click on two seperate pedals to switch between bass and keys. Looks like it's a job for Max @ [SFX]! If I've got what you're after correct in my brain! Truckstop
13. Bought an Earthquake Systems Sea Machine of Dave; he gave me a good deal and was very well packaged and arrived in good time! Cheers! Truckstop

Me too. A polite "Thanks but no thanks" would be fine! Truckstop
15. Sold me a J Retro preamp, arrived very swiftly after sending the money, well packaged and as described! Did me a nice deal on it too. Gent! Truckstop
16. Bought a lovely Fender '54 RI off me, it was out of the door with 15 hours of agreeing the sale and the money wasn't much longer after that! Would love to deal with him again! Truckstop
17. Do it mate! You only live once, that's a cracking deal and if after a few months you're sick and tired of carting it around, flog it on. I doubt you'd lose any money on it. Although you won't be able to see it on stage due to the amount of women crowded around you because you've got such a massive piece of kit! Trucsktop
18. Need some advice please, BCers! Basically, I'm thinking of my live set-up. My Gem Saturn/Ampeg combination sounds the wick and I'd like to be able to replicate that sound as faithfully as possible live. What are the best ways of acheiving this? Any toys I need to buy? The Gem has no DI, by the way! Also, I like delays, they sound the best. Anyone got any recommendations for passive basses? Cheers Alex
19. That would sound like it's a problem with your amp more than anything else? Truckstop edit: nevermind, just got it!
20. Hello all, I love this bass, but I simply have no need for a 4 string. I use 5ers in the band and I need to have another. I have no money to keep this and buy one so this one's up for sale or trade! This has the traditional reverse vintage tuners and the old-style 2 saddle bridge. Plenty of thump, and extremely comfortable given its small body size and lightweight (havent weighed it, but it can't be more than 9lbs). There are few dings on the body. One on the top bout goes through to the wood; about 5mm sq., one next to the bridge on the edge of the bass right next to the strap button which doesnt go through the lacquer, and a couple of scrapes on the bottom bout, both of which are very shallow. There are polishing swirls throughout and a few light scratches on the back. It's 10 years old and has been used. Tradewise, I'm looking for a traditional styled (aka, needs to have a pickguard!) 5 string Precision or Jazz. Fenders, Laklands, Bacchus', or indeed any sort of decent Bitsa are fine. I've not got anything specific in mind, so try your luck! I would prefer a straight trade and I could probably add £100 onto a trade if needs be. I might also consider some sort of valve head, but it'd have to be fairly special and it'd need to be something I could sell on without too much trouble. Straight sale wise, I'm looking at around £450. Courier will be extra and will be your responsibility to organise, however I am willing to deliver up to 75 miles away for petrol money and a cup of tea. It is located in St. Albans, Hertfordshire. It will come in a Warwick Soft Case. Pictures!: I can take more specific photos for you if you would like. Just let me know your email address and I'll send some for you. THIS BASS HAS BEEN SOLD!
21.
Hi Sam, You'd do well to stick an ad in the Market Place. There's a lot of interested traffic, and some folk seem to have money to spare at the mo. Good luck with the sale.
There's a drummer joke in there somewhere... Truckstop
