    No, it's not mine, but I really want it. I saw it in the flesh when I went to pick up my '83 P and, in person, the colour's actually quite acceptable. The pictures make the damage on the top horn look massive, but it's really not! I want it!!!!!! Truckstop

    Yeah, I also have a Pedaltrain Nano... and a Mini! They're really tough little things and surprisingly easy to work with. Recommended, big time! Can't remember where I ordered mine from but they came in two days! Truckstop

    It just looks a bit weird. The headstock looks out of proportion with the body, the scratch plate looks too big and the knobs look a little small. The writing on the headstock looks pretty bad too. Even if it did resemble the one in that book, the book goes on to say something like 'this is common of 1970's basses etc etc'. Nope. Not having it!     Are you sure this dude's not just playing things wrong? Like not actually knowing what key the song's in for example? That might explain why you sounded a little out of tune and it was 'your' fault! I've never played with a perfect guitarist. I've played with technically gifted but seriously sociopathic ones, and I've played with poor ones with a great attitude and work ethic. AH well, I'll keep looking! Truckstop

    A local cover band do Wishing Well and it gets a much better response than All Right Now. Probably because people that can't sing find it easier to get along with it. All Right Now's got some odd and very interperative vocal lines that will make you look like an idiot if you try to sing along and get it wrong! Truckstop

    So, the Nitro Mors didnt work. What a nightmare! I tried everything but I just could not get the paint off the sodding thing. So, I chipped all the paint off by hand and then sanded the chisel marks out of the wood. It took a while (I don't own any power tools)! Finished with a few coats of Danish Oil all buffed up and now I have a lovely looking Jazz. Needs a white pick guard though. I'll do a 're-finishing' thread when it's finished properly.
