1. Well I use a number of different effects: Overdrive, Distortion, Fuzz, Compression, EQ, Sub Octave, Filters, Synths, Phaser, Flanger, Delay, Reverb, Chorus etc. etc. all in different combinations and although it may seem a little overkill when written out like that, I use the effects to taste with my 3 piece band. With influences like Wolstenholme, Mahoney from Amplifier and Zender, I don't think that it's such a suprise that my pedalboard has become an instrument in itself - but that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy bypassing everything from time to time and just playing clean. Well, at least SOME of the time!
2. I love all of my effects pedals equally, I regard them as my children and hence share more than just an electrical connection, however it would be nice to not have to lug the heavy buggers everywhere, it's killing my back!
3. Or use a web upload service like Tinypic or Imageshack and pasting in the image codes.
4. Can't reccommend Audix any more highly, they are brilliant! Audix D6 is my favourite Kick/Bass mic of all time.
5. Now add a pedalboard full of flashing lights and switches to the equation with a bunch of late teenagers; sometimes it's like we'll never get to play a song because they're too busy having fun with my toys!!!
6. Ingenious! Bet it takes you forever to set up all your equipment though...
7. Another happy powerstation user!
8. If you're wanting a distortion that will go from tube grit to all out high gain insanity, the Bass Drive may well be for you! I love mine to bits and the switchable boost is a great tool. Lots of love for the Bass Big Muff too, not sure what's it like with a close to line level signal, but I've had no problem sending very hot and boosted signals through it.
9. I've heard that they play great, especially for the price, but the looks really put me off. Tempted by a 5 string, but think I'll go for somehting a little more conventional instead.
10. Everytime I see a Squire Jazz I think of the Vintage Modified series and get very tempted, perfect back up and road hardy bass!
11. Some people are just happy to practice, make music and have their fun in rehersal rooms - and that's cool, especially if you're all busy people and don't have much time to spare. I can't think of anything worse than playing infront of a room full of people and not knowing your parts or not playing tightly together - oh the shame, the humiliation! But in the same passion, I couldn't imagine NOT playing infront of an audience. As much as I enjoy writing and just playing with my bandmates, sharing the music with others is half the fun. Rocking a packed show is a feeling that is hard to beat.

13. And So I Watch You From Afar - The Letters EP. 4 songs, not that short but pretty sweet! Can't wait for their next full length album.
14. Here is what I played last night, a very streamlined version of my big pedalboard, but needs must when you're a student and have to get the train from city to city to play gigs! Kind of weird not having my WOBO Looper, so plenty of tap dancing, and not having a delay, my chorus or any form of filter, but it sounded good anyway. TU-2 > MultiComp > OC-3 > Fulltone > Bass Big Muff > Phase 90 > M-80
15. I've used a Phase 90 for a few years now, no complaints at all from me. Also tried the Nano Small Stone, sounds brilliant on Bass too.
16. FM-4 for £90 posted?
17. I've got the new BA115HP 220w 15 inch combo, nice amp. Has suited me well in the studio, practice and live. Would quite like to have tried an amp similar to yours though with the 2x10 configuration.
18. I'm sure that I would never really have the chance, but I think it would be great fun to join a backing band for a talented vocalist, even a rap group or hip-hop act, just to back any popular outfit. Great way to travel, play to large crowds and just go along for the ride. Having always been in an original band with a good deal of creative control I imagine that it must be difficult to just play for someone else, but the idea still attracts me.
19. ^^ Oh yeahhhhhh.
20. I'd go Comp > Exciter, especially if you were to make use of the DI output of the Exciter.
21.

Big GAS for the Goatkeeper after watching your video; same for the octron. Their prices scare me however.
22.
I made the trip to Paris to collect last Sunday
Now that is love and dedication!
23. Problem is, buying singles is a slipperly, expensive and addictive slope. If only I had still been happy with my old Korg AX3000B perhaps I would have a car by now.
24. The MXR is totally clean without the distortion circuit engaged, and with it on you can go from light break up to full on raging distortion. I use mine as always on, with a nice sound set up on the preamp, and engage the distortion channel for a little classic drive on a few songs which call for it.
