1. I'd love to see if this could replace my Bass Big Muff, but it's bloomin' massive! I don't know if I could really warrant something that big on my pedalboard. Videos make it tempting though...
2. I have an Epiphone Thunderbird, I feel your pain.
3. I would say, as long as you can afford to, hang on to that Ric! I am insanely jealous of such a nice Bass, I will probably fork out for one someday.
4. I've tried out the Lowdown 1x15 Bass Combo, the LD300 Pro. Used it Live and in the studio. Not a bad amp, clean DI out, fairly good EQ, so if that's anything to go by this head should be similar. I for one didn't like the inbuilt effects or the channel system. I'd prefer to spend that money on a nice Hartke or Ashdown head, but that's just my opinion. I've got plenty effects on my board.
5. That is genuinely one of the most disgusting pedals I have ever seen! I think Ashdown should just get back to making great Bass Amps, not like the outsourced cheap crap they are producing at the moment, and leave pedals like this to the others.
6. As a debt ridden student, I would say: save the cash up. Accumulating debt probably isn't a good idea, unless fi you desperately need the Bass right away. Plus things always seem sweeter when you've toiled for them...apparently.
7. It's a great song! I have no shame in admitting that I can play it.
8. Sounds like a great deal to me, well done! For the record, I thoguht your T-Bird was damn sexy.
9. Other than that "interesting" Green Day + U2 collaboration, I've never really thought about two bassists playing together. Interesting concept, I guess you could argue there's no difference between having two bassists than having two guitarists. Rythm & Lead Bass? Perhaps not. As long as they stayed out of each other's frequencies I guess it would work. Bands with two drummers work, so why not two bassists?!
10.
The synth bass in particular sounds amazing - the fills in Jam almost caused me to wee.
The synth bass is very tastey indeed.
11. I find that when my parts are all around the same area in the neck, I have no problem playing without looking, but on those trickeir lines that go up and down the neck I think it's always worth having a gander to avoid any mis-haps. I'd prefer to stare glued to the neck than play a horrible bum note!
12. Great pedal, it forms a big part of my rig.
13. I've got a lot of pedals at the moment, but if I decided to simplify, I would probably buy a Deluxe Bass Driver, keep my TU-2 and my MultiComp and add an M9. Seems like a great pedal, that Bass Driver, happy with my M-80 atm though.
14. In the way that you can't chain as many effects, or arrange them at will, yes I agree. But as far as high quality modelling goes, it deserves a look in.
15. High quality multi fx pedal? Line 6 M9.
16.
Marshall Reflector RF-1 can be had for about that secondhand and is excellent.
+1 I love mine.
17. +1 on the Coolcat, a cheap, good pedal.
18. Recently purchased Sub Focus' debut album. Top quality DnB.
19. Blue Monday. It should NEVER be touched.
20. Hey Brian, Is it just these effects that you want? Or do you want to be able to use a lot more? Would you be able to give us a few more details as to how you want to use your effects pedal, that would greatly help in recommending the right one for you. For example, are you after a very accurate tuner, or low noise operation or a DI included? Best, Rich
21.
Yeah, I'm buying a Korg AX3000B, but that doesn't have a low pass filter, and I'm not sure if the rate of the tremolo/chorus is controllable with the footpedal. Zach
The AX3000B is fantastic! Pretty much every variable is controllable by the expression pedal, I would be very suprised if you can't manipulate the rate of the effects. You've inspired me to dig mine out again and have a fiddle ...
22. Starting an effects collection is a slippery slope, I am constantly plagued by GAS!
23. I'm sure many will not agree with me on this forum, but I really quite like the Boss CEB-3. I know it's quite modern sounding, but it's been my staple chorus sound for nearly a year now, it's built like a brick sh*t house and they go very cheaply on this forum and on eBay.
24.
this is where I'm at right now. nearly done.
Really nice, simple pedalboard here mate. I think many more will probably be following your example, going down the route of the M9. I probably should do myself, especially being at University, so having my fully laden Tourman with me isn't really an option.
25. I'll bet the Hard Rock would love to get hold of that Bass, add it to Krist Novesilc's smashed up old T-Bird.
