1. And now it's gone.
2. Just seen this: https://www.gumtree....bass/1163839766 I know these are popular around here and this seems a good price (£160 - but active circuitry is defective). If it was closer to me I would probably have a go.
3. The link at the top takes me to a different web site (acmebass.com) you may want to check your hyperlink. Thanks for posting this review.
4. Only just saw that. Have you still got it or is it gone? I have a B-Bass, so I would quite like to see the catalogue entries for it.
5. Is that the ghost of a double neck guitar that can be seen on the lid's foam?

Kramer 350B

Very nice bass, I have never seen one of these for sale. Congratulations on getting it. I have a 1978 450B.
7.
Low - Just Like Christmas
+1 for this My fave though is Cocteau Twins' rendition of Frosty the Snow Man
8. I bet I could drink 10 Grolsch in under 5 minutes and I won a bass. I am not making this up, look (and you show the 5 pars of Grolsch bottle seals). Voila...
9. Bienvenue sur le forum!
10.
Just done a deal on a Sandberg heavy relic ...I wasn't a fan but I love the sound so I don't care...
That's what matters the most at the end of the day. And like I said it actually looked pretty realistic on the DK.
11. Very nice. What is in the top cavity?
12. What about that Nokia tune ringtone?
13. Maybe I didn't pay enough attention and it just wasn't as aged as I would have expected it to be, given the state of the rest of the bass I didn't try it or anything.
14. I was at Wunjo yesterday and they have a brand new Sandberg Marlowe DK. I am not into relic'ing at all, but I have to say it was really well done on this particular bass and the "ageing" looked pretty natural, except... the pick guard is brand new (and may even have had protective plastic on it). Why is that? Is the pick guard the last taboo that cannot be broken (or grazed/burnt/hacksawed)?
15. Aw man! I have just lost 20 minutes of MY life. And I blame you!
16. Nope, just the one end.
17. Now, is that bass blue and chrome or black and gold? Love ATKs!
18. Battery. If it's your first active, someone has to say it: if you leave the cable plugged into the bass it will drain the battery. I know you already know this. But hey... I have said it.
19. My GHS groundwound have blue silks.

I like it in white. Should you change the pick guard, will you rename Beluga to Tortuga?

Custom paint jobs

I am glad you guys like them. I'll see if he has a photo of a complete pedal with knobs and all. It is unlikely as he just produced the artwork.
22. My brother was asked to paint some pedal cases for a competition organised by a (small) record label. People made effects from a kit and could win the pedal cases in a raffle, or something. I think they look pretty cool, picture attached I think. The full story is on his blog (in French) at http://www.hellofreaks.com/blog/.
23.
One thing worth checking is if the neck is straight. Some of the Alu necked basses bend under string tension over the years...and you won't be able to straighten them. The neck pocket on my Kramer isn't tight either...but they are lovely basses.
Ah yes that's a very good point.
24. I commute from London to Grantham every Friday (night), if you're stuck I can help, but arranging a pick up might be difficult as I am out and about a lot at the weekend.
25. I have seen a Kramer 450B in a shop a couple of weeks ago, tried it, and really liked it. Called the other day and it's still there and I am now, well you know, kinda thinking I may want to buy it. It's in good enough nick, some scratches, obviously, one walnut pickup surround missing, one of the knobs is free spinning (the pot is fine) and scratchy pots but looks all original and in full working order. The neck pocket is not very tight and the body side of the joint is a mm too wide or mis-aligned - this seems quite common from some of the pictures I have seen on the net. I think someone here said something along the lines of "Kramer tolerances are not great". There is also a hairline crack on both sides of the joint, about 1.5cm. I think they are asking a bit too much for it, but I am not really sure what a fair price would be as I don't think one has sold here for a while and eBay only has sold ones in the US. Any pointers for a UK price? Are the cracks around the neck a definite no-no? What else should I look for if I go and see it again?
