Remember the thread on the Vampire and after initially being so grateful he read a couple of cynical posts and changed his tune? It's happened again!! BTW, good luck to Andre and Butch!

On the guitar side, my brother has an original '62 duo-jet in cherry. Here's a pic of him playing it a few years ago.

If you're working with a sound engineer, be nice to him! He will be the difference between making you sound good (if you're nice) or atrocious (if you're rude and he's a knob). If he sets your on-stage level... DO NOT TOUCH IT!!! Same goes for other band members. Also, if you're playing with others, talk to them and share your (in)experiences. They may give you a 'big-up' which does help! 2nd or 3rd on the bill? Do not start to set up your gear until the band that have just played have broken down their set-up. You'll just get in the way and may end up breaking something of your own (bad) or something of theirs (really BAD and expensive!!) Happened to us last night with a 'headlining' act on thier debut gig.... the guitarsole 'doinked' our singer-guitarist's '64 SG in his mad rush to the stage. Martin's growl shook the room!!! Other than that... take a deep breath and enjoy yourself!! You'll be a veteran in no time!!

You STILL got this Shep? Jeez... thought someone would have ripped this out of your grasp by now at that price! Can even get a new 2x10 traveller for under £650!!!! People, I've got the HR version which rocks, but Shep's is front ported and pushes more air than an Ampeg Fridge!! Buy it or regret it!! -
I know times are changing, guitars age and people are looking for a good deal too but this is a bass that retails for about £1.5k new and i don't think selling it for £600-£700 does this bass any justice, especially for a 5 string.
To be fair... you are quoting 'TOP END' retail and they NEVER go for that price new in this country. I don't want to derail your thread and whatever price you set, it's your perogative (Bobby Brown fans, sit the f##k down!!). Just having a look through the previous SR5's for sale on here may be good advice. Good luck anyway.

SOLD: Fender American Vintage 62 Precision Re-Issue

Phew... thanks God for that! I've also heard some terrible horror stories regarding Fender's QC. No worries regarding the 'Ray and best of luck with this sale.... beautiful bass! You may want to edit your original post regarding letting 'the pictures do the talking' or others might spot the same set up issues.... just a thought! -

Beautiful looking bass and I would be seriously interested in a trade with my MM SR 30th if you are!! Just one thing and I'm sure it's just my eyes... but the string spacing and positon in the first & third pictures looks way off! It appears that your saddles have been shoved right over!!! Please tell me it's just me. Look at the spacing between the A & D and the positions of the fret markers. -

NOW TRADED... MANY THANKS YOUR INTEREST Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 30th Anniversary model. Such a killer bass it deserves to be played and played well!! Sterling Ball has been often quoted as saying the this is the BEST Stingray he has ever produced!!! I sold this last year then bought it back again in the same condition as I missed it so much!! Solid mahogany body with strings thru design. Single H model. Lovely birdseye maple neck, rosewood board all finished in transparent crimson. Comes with a plush black velevet lined oxblood case with very minor marks. Only 783 of these made so if looked after it will only increase in value. Some very light pick scratches on the guard... other than that, it's pristine! PM me with serious offers please. Trades considered... what have you got that will interest me?
