Got an F1 mainly for rehearsals and the odd city gig when tube is the best way to travel (mini notebook bag, 102p cab and guitar in gigbag.... easy!).
For larger gigs I use the TA503. Has a tube preamp and parametric eq. Lovely bit of kit.

Traded it for Paul's MB106HR.
Stealth!!
Start off with amp flat, soundcheck then tweak to the room... punch the mids according to the soundman.
Tend to trust him during the gig for the frontline but will tweak the bass if I feel I'm lacking something in the flappy department!!

Cool... what does he play? Stateth through Markbeth?
He used to use Stingrays but he wanted a signature model and EB said "No. We don't do signature models"...... apart from the Steve Morse, the Albert Lee, the John Petrucci, the Steve Lukather..... the (erm) Ali Bongo.
I've done a few fill-ins with DC/79 from round Bolton way. My brother used to be 'Malcolm' in the band.
They differed slightly in the fact that they only concentrated on the Bon Scott era. Not even sure if they are still going now as they lost their bon (who was an absolute ringer... see below....) to Canadian truck driving as whiskey drinking!!
My advice is to make sure the sound is spot on. DC fans tend to be very fickle when it comes to attempting to replicate their music. DO NOT DEVIATE even one note or dumbeat from the recordings... they'll bloody well have you for it!!
Having said that.... when you blast into Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be, it's the best feeling ever!!!!
Not me on bass BTW....
Ive got both the MB TA503 and the F1.
I haven't have the F1 for very long and have yet to even rehearse with it. I've only tried it out quickly in my studio and it has that classic 'uncoloured' MB tone. Great also for correcting a wobbly table (JOKE!! Don't try this at home kids!).
However, the TA503 is an absolute beast. Lots of tonal variation with the para eq and more headroom than I'll ever need. NEVER had any issues with it from a reliability factor either. Played through MB cabs, it sounds great.
Can't comment on Eden as I've never tried them.

Just to say that Dave's StingRay is awesome - it looks fantastic now its been resprayed!
Not my old baby with a new coat Nick?
Boy, am I having fun with this!
Dare not put it down though... so small I might lose it!!
Damn I missed it! Someone tell me what the price was so I can cry?
You got one already.... greedy bugger!
