  1. seriously tempted by that 212. if my cab sells and this is still around, you shall have a pm
  2. hey man, this looks interesting can you tell me what the sound is like? I like a gritty rock tone, a la sansamp. can this do that kind of tone?
  3. It is a massive pile of ****, but unfortunately it is becoming more and more common. I don't really know exactly why they do it, (though I expect lazy promoters/venues may be a factor), but it makes playing gigs a proper ballache. It is very common around Reading/Slough, so my last band had to do it just to play gigs at all! Sometimes we were given tickets, and told "Bring 20/30 people if you want to play here again", other times we were asked to buy the tickets then sell them on to others. If you have absolutely any choice, then avoid this stuff at all costs. If no-one does it, maybe they will remember that it's actually their f***ing job to sell the damn tickets! This sort of stuff really infuriates me. /rant
  4. damn, you beat me to posting this up and I'm interested in that MIJ P bass, but the pics are god awful, and he has yet to respond to my email asking for clearer pics, and to inquire as to whether it is 89 or 90. (As 89 is the year I was born, so that would be a bonus).
  5. The main reason I was looking into it was the price, as even with shipping and customs tax it would have been over 100 quid cheaper than buying secondhand here. I ended up going for a Landmark 300 from the for sale section in the end anyway.
  6. seriously tempted to get one of these right now. Are they good basses?
  7. and again. no love for this brilliant cab?
  8. forum rules state that you have to post up a price in your post, not just a link to your ebay sale. good luck with the sale P.S. gorgeous bass
  9. haha, yea, i know what you mean. unfortunately the mibass has a new home now, and I have replaced it with a rack unit, so i'm looking for another 212 or maybe 2 112s.
  10. I think the VM squier series are phenomenal for the amount of cash they cost. I recently did a comparison of P-basses and was blown away by how good the VMP was, especially compared to the MiM P. IMO, you can't go wrong with buying a VM, even without any mods they are seriously impressive instruments, and with about 150 quid put into them they are amazing, and still cost less than an MiM Fender!
  11. awesome yea, they are beautiful basses. does the P pickup on its own give a proper P-bass tone? I only ask because I have seen some people complain that the P pickup on P/J basses can be a bit weak.
  12. ah fair enough, I did not see that first time around.
  13. thanks for your reply interesting you should mention the massive volume difference between the E string and the rest, because I found that with my aerodyne Js aswell. It really bugged me, because it was the only issue with what would have otherwise been my dream bass. Is this a general problem with aerodynes?
  14. Hey all, I've recently had a large amoount of P-bass GAS, and have been looking at several, including an Aerodyne P. However, I have never tried one, and I was wondering what people thought of them? I have had 2 aerodyne Js before, and I really liked them. Are the Aerodyne Ps similar? Also, does the P pickup soloed sound like a solo P pickup should? Cheers for any help
  15. haha he obviously thinks very highly of the case.
  16. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Precision-Bass-Olympic-white-New-Tweed-Hard-Case-/290707143278?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item43af7efa6e#ht_500wt_1363 Even with the hard case I would say that £600 is a little ridiculous for an MiM P-bass...I mean, they are £500 new :S
  17. wow. my mouth may have dropped open a little when I saw this, such a beautiful bass. I shall be looking at the state of my money in the morning, and you may well get a PM hehe.
  18. if I manage to sell my cab, you will have a pm from me
