  1. When the snare comes in your addition of two open E notes is incorrect and those two added notes are actually played on the fret board Im not sure of The notes but they are definitely not open E
  2. Sorry for the very late reply I’ve only just seen this. The came with the bass I believe there made by DR
  3. Evening peeps so, I’ve recently joined an Arctic monkeys tribute band and I’ve just popped my cherry with my first run of gigs. we are Berkshire/surry based but the gigs are all over the uk. as a 40 year old bassist I had almost hung up my bass, got the slippers out and my smoking jacket on but decided to have another bash at gigging with a band after a fair few years off. firstly I like the AM so that really helps, my issue/question is I’m firstly brand new to using in ears and I’m slightly nervous of my sound etc as I’ve always played in function bands mainly playing soul/funk so my sounds been clean and that’s all I’ve needed. im now using a pedal board with a markbass cmd102 combo and a p bass My amp clip light was on quite a fair bit it at the last gig and the levels were quite low so I wasn’t sure why this was happening. basically if I can get any advice on how to create a solid live tone with the tools I have. I do have a 115 extension cab which I was thinking might help with my tone etc. I have pictured my set up below. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. Mark
  4. My first thumb. I am extremely happy with it and now looking out for the 5 string of this. That colour is gorgeous if I do say so myself
  5. I’m gonna have to take to a bass wizard to fix up. There are more cables in there than a telephone exchange 😂 I’ll keep this post posted with an update. Appreciate any messages I’ve had. Thanks people👍
  6. Found this little wire which isn’t connected to anything I wonder if this is my issue?
  7. It seems to make a difference in sound when I pull up or push it down. I have to turn down the pre amp as it was ridiculously loud. But the battery died again today and I only replaced 3 weeks ago and haven’t used it since it was replaced
  8. How would I know this mate I’ve never heard of this. I just assumed a jack was a jack. It has a push pull pot that turns on or off
  9. Anyone have an idea why my bass is eating battery’s like there going out of fashion. My jack cable is unplugged every time I finish playing and only use the bass lightly so not on a daily basis any help would be appreciated
  10. Seems to be an electrical problem. The bass sounds fine and if I move away from the area the high pitch get quiet and disappears if I move slightly it’s back. I turned all my electronics off one by one and nothing eliminated it. I’m thinking it could be something wrong with the plug in that area.
  11. No never used a wireless mate
  12. What I’ll do is send a little vid once I’ve done my days slaving at work. I hear your point same issues leads are different and battery’s are all new.
  13. Evening all. so I’ve recently purchased a couple of basses a spector rebop 4 and a 5 also a Warwick fna jazzman. im getting a high pitched whistle when I use certain pots to change tone etc I’ve gone from amp to audio interface to see if it’s amp issue and it’s the same across the board. I’ve even turned down the pre amps to see if this helps. any ideas would be most appreciated
