1. I've got one for sale that in my opinion does exactly what it needs to do. Regarding a pad, there is a level knob which allows you to quickly bring down the output you send to the amp/desk.
2. These all seem to be because of the backward step of taking away the separate tone print and tube drive functions you used to get on the BG250 MkI no?
3. Just noticed a small ding in the edge of the headstock so will reduce the price accordingly £230
4. Recorded a little demo of how the guitar sounds. Took me far longer than it should have and it is still a weird mix https://soundcloud.com/antlockyer/round-p
5. Just got one of these. The walking off the top of the cab was quite amusing, will get a non slip mat. I'm almost tempted to look at the volume pot and replace it with a linear if its a log one because its hard to get a usable level at home.
6. I loved mine but bought the long length by mistake and had to pass it on.
7. It's odd but it sounds like I have a chorus pedal on with these Dunlops. I'll record it tomorrow.
8. As I no longer drink beer I've been booked to play at the next best thing. A CHEESE FESTIVAL!!!!!
9. That Boz Skaggs record is great!
10. Not listened to that Boz Skaggs before now, liking it so far. I don't know any Anthony Jackson stuff pre Chaka Khan and Donald Fagan
11.
I've always loved Dave Margen's burpy P bass tone (call it moist and spanky myself ) Have you ever seen this vid? There's some good up close shots along the way. Love his work on Santana's Moonflower album, some if the best burpy P tone ever recorded in my opinion (if indeed we're on the same page here! ) I always thought he used a maple boarded P to get that sound but no, turns out he used this Oly white pre CBS P on everything. He still uses it today if and when he plays apparently, your '62 should do the business with the right strings/set up. Good luck with the ongoing quest! (Oh yeah, Dunlop's are cracking strings but I never gave mine chance to die properly so let us know how you get on.) PS.. Your bass is always gonna sound better if you rock it with a nice porno moustache!
Holy Cow!
12. Lovely sounding amp, come and get it.
13. I'm tempted to go back and try it again. I can't afford it having jsut bought my 1962 P but it might at least get rid of the demon. Boosting the mids with these dunlops makes a nice sound too. I'm definitely leaving them on for a while and the 45-105 is cool tension wise.
14.
Nice shot Steve but what cable are you using? It's got girth :-@
mofo$$$$$$ I bet
15. Dunlops on and first impressions are I like them but they aren't doing whats in my head. Scooped the mids out on the amp and they do a really nice sound though.
16. Sort of, however I can always play the instruments. I also have similar ones about skateboarding where I am really really great.
17. I honestly don't see any issue with the Squier CV basses. More than adequate in terms of looks, sound and feel once they've been setup.
