1. I have had deep talkin flats on my string though P for about 5 years.
2. Had this since November last year. Used live a couple of times, works a treat. Loud (got to turn it right up at one gig to see and it scared the crap out of me). Passing it back into the community for what I paid for it. £110 delivered t mainland UK. 3. Is great when things work or like that. Congrats. I narrowly missed out on seeing Dave Brubeck in Nashville. That was a shame.
4. As with all my kit this is in great condition. No damage, works great. Just trying to get ot a streamlined bass into amp setup so this needs to go. £130 posted to regular UK addresses
5. I may live to regret this but I'm selling my Demeter Compulator. As you can see form the picture it is in superb condition. I bought it in New York 3 years ago. Since then it has had little use. https://www.dropbox....%2009.37.45.jpg I listened to every compressor pedal I could find leading up to it's purchase and it is by far and away the nicest most musical sounding one of the lot. However as you can see from its condition I don't use it much (amp with built in compressor). 6. It is and I'll be happy if it ends up staying to be honest. I'm in Orpington, kent.
7. I would, but I'm concerned about couriers and you would have to accept the risk. I'll package in whatever way you want to minimise the risk and you can choose the courier.
8. No longer for sale. When I say clean I really do mean it. Collection preferred but equally happy to post using the courier of your choice. Happy to listen to trades Jazz shaped ones mainly but happy to consider anything. Original electronics, all working awesomely. Sounds amazing, plays amazing, very solid build. Comes with the gig bag I got with it when I bought it a few years ago.
9. Come and get this out of my way.
10. Yes that's the one. Weight a ton, had a neck pocket big enough to live in, the neck was so deep front to back I could barely get my hand round it but it made some really nice sounds.
11. This has a little bit of the sound. http://youtu.be/y38C30bleOI?t=56s
12. Perhaps burping isn't the right term. Will give the Dunlop ones a go. Maybe I should just sell the P my jazz and Aria and buy a Sadowsky J
13. Would have bitten your arm of a couple of weeks ago.
14. Given that my P bass on flats needs are well and truly taken care of by my 62 that leaves me with a late model USA p bass that I love but just sounds like a slightly less good version of my other p bass. I tried some Ti flats on it and they are OK but I'm not keen on the low tension I appear to be a little heavy sometimes on the A string and really have to hold back it feels. I also played a 70s P the other week in Denmark Street, it was the most amazing sounding P I've ever played. It had rounds on it, and burped and growled like nothing else. Trouble is it weighed so much I doubt I'd get through 1 song. So short of my ringing Vintage and rare and asking what strings it had on it. Any recommendations? I'm after something with some tension to it given I'm very used to playing flats (Labella DTFs just came off the aforementioned bass today) and it has to growl and burp
15. Video is backwards when I record on my laptop for some reason
16. Talking of what drummers think of us. Do you find you get gigs because of drummers? I know that is true for me the drummer (who I really enjoy playing with) said he found me very easy to play with.
17. Thanks. It is higly likely this is going to lose the DRs very shortly and will be strung with some Fender flats if I get no takers.
18. Two and three quarter hours without a break and I've just been asked to to play the second Beatles song in a row. The T-Shirt is from Heavy http://www.heavy-clothing.com/
