1. I think I might be in a bit of a rut with my blues playing. I play at a jam once a week and hugely enjoy it. The first couple of months I improved massively but now I'm just not sure what to work on. Any ideas? The one thing I struggle with is the odd occasion once every couple of weeks when I get a solo. To be honest that is not my primary concern though, I just want to be the guy that sits in the pocket, gives a great groove and highlights the soloists properly. Constructive criticism is welcome from these vids. Standard walking type stuff http://youtu.be/7Yc9WhvL-ew Messin with the kid http://youtu.be/yNfuFGudtOw Funky shuffle http://youtu.be/3iZmX0cX9ig Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to get to a great standard (and the blues is what I really want to excel at).
2. Bought an MXR pedal and it was a perfectly smooth transaction, great communication and speedy delivery. Thanks buddy.
3. I'd love one if I had the money (and a gig to play it on).
4. Looking at the pictures on the website I can see no wear at all.
5. Hope they are good and you have fun.

8. I know this is off topic for the sale thread but enjoy the free bump. My SB1000 with Batwing headstock is 011027 Jan '81 Using the new methodology!
9. I'm listening to an old school funk playlist and so far not one song hasn't had an envelope filter on it
10. there is a cheap BassIQ on ebay at the moment. I was thinking about it but I really want the MXR.
11.
There are all manner of reasons why you would need more than one bass but the main one is playing live surely?
Any of my basses will do a decent job in a live situation and are robust enough that they probably don't need a backup. I'm much more likely to notice the differences between them at home (like last night playing some funk stuff I thought the Jazz would be better than the Aria but it wasn't).
12. Don't record it as a guitar. Select real instrument and then select bass. there are a couple of DI presets. One of those will sound great.
13. I went to see a Dave Lee Roth/Van Halen tribute band with Gregg Bissonette (DLR's drummist). I cant imagine how their drummer felt, Gregg did sit on for one track and it was mind blowing.
14. The difference in sound of my Squier CV Jazz and Fender USA P Bass both with flats is significant. The Fender sounds very woody, loads of complexity to the tone etc. The cheap bass sounds cheap.
15. I've jsut gone back to rounds on my jazz (I have LaBellas on my precision).
16.
I reckon an electro-acoustic with a deep-bodied arch top
This.
