1. I've decided that I want flats on my Jazz as I have the Aria for the round wound sounds and it is super versatile given the electronics. I've got Labella deep talking on my Precision and like the tension, to the point that when I play the Jazz with rounds I end up playing down by the bridge in order to get a similar feel. I was thinking about putting a set of Fender 9050M on but have read they are very high tension. Are they similar to the LaBella? I'm not sure I'd like anything more rod like than those. Any other recommendations? Cost is not an issue, blues is what I play.
2. Something else I've just started using recently is the Aux in on my bass amp. Using spotify on my phone to jam along to stuff.
3.
Back in the day, she was what a woman looked like. What has happened to us since then?
Sums it up.
4. I am what I guess you'd call an audiophile although I associate that with swapping of boxes and GAS, I've also got a really nice pair of in ear monitors for when I'm on the move.
5.
Synchronicity! I was just about to start a thread asking folks about that. As a keyboardist, I'd routinely choose special sounds or different instruments during preparation, to see where the differences would lead me in my playing. So I wondered if the same goes for bassists. I guess it does then. Is this playing different things an important argument for people to keep different basses? b, b
I'd be interested to know the answer as I'm not really a bassist. I just happen to play the bass
6. I don't gig but like the variety I have in my basses. P with flats, passive Jazz (in Eb) and an Aria SB give a whole world of different sounds and feels that inspire me to play and not always the same thing. I'd happily have any of the above as my only bass.
7. Maybe a thin bit of closed foam covered in fabric. Could do different colours to match the rest of the decor and it might look a bit like art :-D
8. My Squier Jazz is not as good as my USA Precision. It plays really great and I'd have no issue having it as my only bass, then you pick up the P and it is obvious. My Aria makes them both feel cheap.
9.
heres a classic done by us, a few years ago now
Really nicely done.
10. Like that song on the first listen. Will do some digging, thanks.
11.
Have you not seen this.......? (at 3.55, he is singing a third higher Monster player)
Leaves me cold.
12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYN5RmitZlA&feature=related The rest of the solo is ropey.
13. Will post some pics later. It's Oak it's in great condition with a couple of nicks here and there but nothing bad and certainly less than you'd expect for its age. It plays very well indeed and sound ssuperb. I'm selling it because switching between my Jazz and P and this is too much of a leap and so I don't end up using it much at all. £700 collected from Orpington, Kent. Will consider couriering it.

Jazz

New guard arrived today.
15. First post, promoting some guitar or other. Consider thencrossedcrossed off my list.
16. I like my Jazz as much as my MIA P and more than my Aria SB1000.
17. Was thi sjust an excuse to post an awesome picture of yourself
18. I really like a few of their songs not for the bass just the songs themselves. I can see why someone would take a dislike to him. At first glance he has a cockiness I think.
19. At 38 with a young family I'm happy with occasional jams. Just nice to play with others especially those that are far better at their instruments than I am.
20. For the first time as a bass player. 2 accomplished guitarist/vocalists and my pal who is very handy on the drums. 4 and a half hours of playing each others songs and a couple of covers. Taking the P with flats was a smart move otherwise my fingers would be in as bad a state as my shoulder Can't wait to do it again.
21. I agree with Enrico, a good teacher needs to inspire and find out how to get the info into the students head.
