9. hi all. well this bass is doing the rounds! i have ended up with it in a recent trade to try 5 strings again only to find i really cant deal with them unfortunately. so this lovely mint bass is up for grabs again. its basically as new and was £1750 plus case to buy. its got nearly new strings on it too. i would consider trades on a 4 string and preferably a fretless lined bass of less value plus cash. i hope its ok but i will put a link to the original thread to where the bass came from in very sad circumstances. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=94766&hl=Zoot its a cracking bass and nails the classic fretless sound that i love. its a 3d bridge so string spacing can be set to your liking. with an aguilar pre amp and a semi hollow body so not at all heavy. any more info or pics let me know please. happy new year to all bc users unless you are a pri** only joking!! ha!! cheers. ad
10. hi john(kiogon) looking forward to it myself. drop me a line when ready and i will give you my address and postage costs. cheers all and especially jaybass for starting the whole thing off. ad
11. error of etiquette. very well put and not as dastardly as its come across.
12. you are correct in that its in no way against any rules but most people make a loss as they sell at a time when they have to for financial reasons or to fund the itch for something else. its not the end of the world and i can understand both sides of the argument.
13. davy lad you are going to piss in your chips here mate. we all get a bargain her and there but to to offer it up on the same forum for a much higher price is a plain piss take and as said is not in the free! forum vain of use. you will only eventually alienate yourself from the usual members as this isnt ebay with a massive throughput of customers. i think you know you have boobed mate. you should be here to better yourself as a bass player or collector not make money. that said £600 was a steal but at least bung it on the bay and not wave it in peoples faces. meant respectfully dave. ad
14. would love a read of this next if poss? not a big lizzy fan either but found mr lynott very interesting and he lived it large. back in the days when rock stars had balls!
15. good luck with the sale and glad to finally see the piccies. i think for the purist that will want a CT of that age they will want the original electrics no matter how plain they sounded and will be surprised by the addition of a chrome scratch plate? its much a refinished fender it knocks so much value out of them. when you say a piccolo bass what is the scale on this? thanks
16.
I should have said - they're likely to go, but they are still available..
hi, i think from the amount of bumps and time and sheer lack of interest you can see no one is likely to buy on here. it only seems to be the older ibanez`s that get much interest. the prestige is a fantastic bass and you would probably get more than what you are asking on here from ebay if you give it a go. i tried selling a sr prestige myself here and didnt get a single bite so know the feeling. they are superb basses and worth every penny but i think you are flogging a dead horse on this forum. i kept mine in the end and highly modified so will probably never be able to sell it now but i have a fantastic bass with a neck like no other. i am not poking my nose in to be annoying but think you should give ebay a try as i am quite sure you will have a better chance at selling it. i dont really know why so many people are not keen on ebay? the best way is to put it on a 30 day fixed price sale with a best offer option and not take the chance of getting low bid prices. good luck and have a bump. cheers
