3. hi, bass sold to rob_89 pending the money transfer. cheers everyone who showed interest.
4.
I've made the mistake of letting go of a Kubicki in the past!
yes they are difficult to get hold of
5. hi chris, i will have them if still available? straplocks. cheers
6. having a feel about to see what interest i get on my amp. its a pretty rare peavey BAM 210 combo in fantastic condition. its a modelling amp and has 8 effects built in as well as a tuner. it has 8 amp models and 8 cab` models and all configurable into 16 user and 16 preset sounds. all controllable by a very sturdy midi foot control board. 2 10inch cast frame drivers and a horn tweeter with its own volume. if you have a google you will not find a single bad review and nothing but praise, only thing it does get moaned about is its not light. it has built in wheels and pop up handle for moving about. these were stupidly expensive when released and that basically killed the model off and they were discontinued after a short run. RRP was £1400 and i think the last one on this site sold for £550 so thats where i will start. could be up for a trade for a quality 2by10 cab or w.h.y. nearly forgot its 350 into 4 ohm and that the reason why i am selling. i dont gig and live in a flat so its a waste of such gear. east sussex based but i got a courier to move it last time for £60
7. either travel or a quick game of rounders! i am sure its great to play. calling all 80`s tribute bands

9. chris 2112 "A week ago I'd have bought this in a second!" oh go on then a swap for the kubicki, you twisted my arm.
10.
Oh my these are so cool. To latch on to the previous post, what does each control do exactly (I have an S2 Classic but the electronics/controls are obviously different)?
hi, its volume balance and tone. cheers
11.
Great for a bit of buget Mark King action! I can quite imagine how good this will sound. I had a Status Matrix bass with singlecoil pickups and the same peamps as this. It had a Walnut body, but I'm sure they will sound fairly similar. Lots of Status growl and pop but in a slightly more subtle way, and could easily slot in to a gig where you'd used a jazz bass without too much fuss. A nice option for someone who fancies a Status but finds the typical old skool S2's to be too aggressive sounding (not me though, I love them like that).
hi chris, i have had jaydee`s before but never had a status and can honestly say was very surprised at the quite vast array of tones this can produce for such a simply configured pre amp, jazz bass to ricky topy growl and big fat hi-fi. it is very versatile.
12.
These first appeared in 1988 I think. The later `Energy' graphite necked model was very similar, however the 3000 had a solid `block' finish on the neck with no visible graphite weave (which appeared on the Energy models!). Great bass! All the best! Nick
cheers for the info nick. all the best
13. just another note. i have had basses sent from america in soft cases in a cardboard box with no probs at all. my local music shop is very helpful with old boxes they are usually eager to give them away. top end basses are selling a bit on the slow side at the mo` so worth giving as many options as you can. next day delivery in a heavy box anywhere in the uk by courier £6.87 plus insurance if they feel the need.
14. to the top for you evening browsers
15. hi and good luck with your sales. i personally think you are mad not to offer postage as it cuts your market down to local buyers. buyers pay for the postage which these days it not much and its up to them if they want to insure it. you should at least offer the chance for people to arrange their own carriage but make sure its at their risk. if the basses have hard cases you will not be taking any risks. i have seen so many times a bass sit on ebay for months with pick up only. hope you dont think i am being nosey and good luck all the same.
16.
I bought one new serial number 053 in April 1988. I had some work on it at the factory in 1989. They were just introducing the Series 4000 (which was the same bass but with a plastic body in various paint colours). So 1988-1989 maybe 1990. The Series 3000 had a natural finish and came in three wood options, walnut, cherry and utile mahogany. If your bass is headless and has the natural finish it's a 3000 except for one bass that was (re)finished in sky blue. If it has a solid colour it's probably a 4000. Another similar bass was made, this was the headed Matrix bass, around 90 92 ??? It's a long time ago but maybe this gives you and overview of the bass. Oh btw it was a fantastic bass and I traded mine in 97 for a fretless Warwick.
cheers cs2, it really is nice and only selling to fund a VB-99 and already started moding my ibanez for the midi otherwise i would have preferred to have used this for it. my headstock has 141 stamped on the top. going to see if there is a dating page at status. cheers
17. taken out of a new ibanez prestige complete with knobs and jack, very easy to install and i will supply instructions for wiring. its the vari-mid 3 set up with 4 knobs two of which are dual pots. one of my favourite pre amps as the sweeping mid is fab! i only removed it as i am making a midi-bass project. if you have an old bass that you love and want to add some top sound styling then its a cheap option. so its pots, knobs, jack socket, battery plug and pre amp board complete just solder your pick ups in. £50 delivered. cheers
18. recently took this bass in trade and need to move it on hopefully for cash but a lower value bass and some cash would also be cool. its a 4 string headless active solid wood body slaptastic machine. the frets have been polished up and there is hardly any wear and the electrics are all spot on. i thought this bass was described as a good few years old in its original advert on ebay but from the look of the neck it does not look very old at all. if anyone knows how to date them i would appreciate it. it has a zero fret and the action is amazingly low, electrics are volume, balance and tone and it surprised me in the tones it can produce from toptastic slap to a nice mid` growl to a good full bottom end. the only issues it has is some buckle rash on the rear. otherwise its pretty much spotless. there you go! it is what it is, a good example of a top english made graphite necked bass. £650 posted to your door in its hard case that is tank like in construction. or a trade w.h.y quick sale needed. now only £550 plus carriage
