2. £57! it could be a bag of whatsit but for£57 i would have had it. strange though, i'm no expert but it's an odd looking Rosetti.
3. They have a nice Rosetti, but not struck on the colour or price.
4.
I *really* wanted to go, but just as I was about to buy the tickets Ry Cooder decided to put a gig in there, too. Alas, one or the other for me, and Ry won. Shame...
I'm only getting Belfast and Edinburgh on Google. doesn't look has if he's coming down south at all.

10. Did a charity gig the other saturday with a couple of other bands in a large hall, started setting up at midday. a nightmare, we let the other bands do a sound check first, we had a few problems with the PA and it was 4.45 when we were happy. i was already on the way to knackerd. went home for some tea and got back there 8.15. by the time we went on it was 10.45. did well over an hour and came off stage to find THE BAR SHUT! by now i was tired and thirsty. after half an i managed to get a pint which never touched the sides. but we raised a £1000 for a local school so it was a good night. the thing is i would probably do it again.
11. Our latest line up.
12. Playing in pub covers band we usually take about 45 minutes to an hour, takes me about 15/20 minutes for my TE amp and two cabs and tuning pedal and two basses on stands and tuning up. then i give our k/board player a hand, and the PA set up, we have a female singer so all she carries in is a mike and a loud voice. our drummer has a large kit so he takes the longest. its probably a bit longer than an hour, which, for a pub band is terrible really.
13. Gene Hunt in Ashes to Ashes just bought a double whisky for fifty pence.
14. That was different, i couldn't listen to the whole seven and half, just not my thing.
15. This is nice. not that i would go anywhere one. nice though.
16.
You lot can play when you get home from the pub? Christ... after a few pints, my basses all become twelve stringers in some ancient tuning.
Same here, i usually put on Dr Feelgoods Milk and Alcohol. and end up making a balls of it. i always thought Wilko Johnson played guitar on that track.but it seems Gypie Mayo did it. you learn something every day.

My Two

Not great pictures but These are my two work horses. I'm in a covers band that plays the pubs two or three times a month, so these are all i need really. The natural is a MIA 2004 PBass. sounds great and plays great. i have broken the odd string or two so i feel i need a backup. The other Pbass is a Bitsa. Squire affinity body with Maple board i bought off the net. looks nice but i could do with some decent pups and maybe tuners then i'll be sorted. thought about some covers but i think they could get in the way.
