1. In all the time i've been playing i have had to mess about or swap a neck on a bass. the time as come. i suppose this is a fairly obvious question but one i have to ask. when putting the neck back on and tightening the plate screws and fitting the strings tuning up etc, do you then have to give the screw another tighten?. i'm a bit wary of over doing it. ta.
2. I can lend you a Fender MIA Pbass if you want.
3. It was the maple fingerboard that drew me really. i'll leave it alone. thanks.
4. I'm bidding on it, but someone wants it more than me i think. its in the US.so with postage and shipping could out expensive. Its a strange one as the guy that's selling it has a Strat in the first picture and hasn't bothered to amend it. the Tuners on the Pbass look a bit odd. anyone have an idea what year it is? 5. Slightly off topic but i have a shed load of rubbish which i'm going to offload at a carboot soon, i only go to sell once a year because i know if i have something for sale at say, £2, which i think is reasonable, they turn there nose up and offer fifty pence. i don't know why they don't straight out and say can i have it for nothing.
6. I guess its this one. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=27995 I almost bought it first time around. but i'm sorted now.
7.
Last week I was waiting on a MOTU 2408 I/O interwossit for my studio. As the item had sat at £52 for three days I lined up a bid for £75 which I thought was reasonable (the last one I bought was £72 S/H). Just before I placed my bid with 15 seconds to go the price shot up to £142!!. The last bidder's top range was shoved right up by someone equally eager to get their hands on it. I did have a snigger and could imagine the fella's language!!!
The same thing more or less happened to me. nothing was happening untill the last few minutes. being cynical i wondered if the seller got someone to bid on it for him. probably not.
8. Blimey, not cheap are they!. 9.
Worse still...... Phil collins...... god forbid
Strange, our drummer rates Phil Collins. he says he's good technically. whatever that means. i prefer the Gorilla.
10. One of the few Kramer that i actually like. they don't really rock my boat. but there's something about this one. only a few minutes to go though. 11. I have a 300watt amp a TE 4x10 and a Te 1x15, and happy with sound i'm getting. but its always in the back of my mind that its all a bit too much for the type of venues we play, IE pubs etc. so i was thinking of down sizing without compromising my sound, i noticed the weight of the combo after posting and realise its not exactly light. i would hate to get rid of my Trace rig and buy this only to be disapointed with it. guess i will have to try one out first.
12. I'm thinking of changing from my Trace rig to an Ampeg combo, nothing wrong with it sound wise but its not doing my back any good. anyone had any experience with this combo?
