    We do Use somebody by the Kings of Leon, pretty simple to do. Dakota by the Stereophoncs and Read my mind by the Killers. easy but effective songs.

    Little known fact. Bono almost gave up the Music business when someone threw a plastic duck at him at a concert, he has a little known aversion to all things ducks. it's called something like thuckaduckphobia or something.

    I saw a bass player in a band doing it the other week, every thirty seconds or during every number he would lick his plucking fingers, it got so i couldn't my eyes off him, pluck, lick pluck. don't know what it did to the strings. then i read in Mag today John Deacon did it to.

    This is a no name 62 Burst Pbass copy i bought off Bassbunny a few months back. here's some blurb which i have pinched off Bassbunny selling ad. too lazy to do my own. The cavity has been lined with Copper. The scratchplate has been foil backed. A Wizard Thumper has been installed along with CTS Pots, Switchcraft Jack and Sprague capacitor. All wiring is in Vintage cloth covered wire and the pot/capacitor values were decided upon after a chat with Andy at Wizard pickups. The bridge has been replaced with a Wilkinson Vintage bridge with Brass Saddles. New string tree and Fecker transfer, (laquered over) it has a really nice neck plays and sounds just great. can be supplied with an old battered case. may swap for a jazz bass, £150. put some pics up later if anyone's interested.

    Such is a musicians life, you can playing live on top of a building in the middle of London or playing a working mans club in the middle of nowhere. i've only done the one though, err..working mans club.

    Went the day well? no, up half past four for work. had some bad news regarding work. played a music pub in the town where i work and it was crap. good sized room with a stage and i could not get a decent sound out of my Trace rig. don't know if it was the wooden stage or what, and i was cramped between the keys, drummer and the singer. my headsock hit the cymbals. my elbow hit the keyboards and my bass hit the singer, a couple of times on purpose. . my strap button came off on the horn in mid song and i had to hold it with my knee almost dropping it. my back up bass is an SX with wizards and it sounded horrendous. i'm baffled. and all this before workmates, people who are in bands and a singer who is thinking about joining us. but saying all that people were coming up and saying it was good and the landlord bought us all a drink. now i'm to pissed off to go to sleep. its been a long day.

    Welcome to Basschat, i think i passed through Moreton in the Wirral going to a gig one or twice before they put a new road in, either that or there's a pub called the Moreton and i'm getting confused.
