I have a cab with some blown speakers and i have no what they are. i bought two ten inch 100watt Celestion 8ohm speakers from Lean audio to fit in the cab. talking to a Musician friend he tells me that cant put two 8 ohm speakers in and get a 8 ohm cab and link it up with another cab with tens in. he says i either need two fours, which are hard to find or two sixteens. correct?

There's a small music shop near us run by a guy we all know. he used to be in bands a while back. took early retirement and had a good payout. he "works" two hours in the morning goes to the pub back to work for another two hours and he does that five days a week. nobody buys much off him because its cheaper to buy online. he's too expensive. overheads and all that, i bought a set of Ernie Balls off him and he charged me £30, you can get them for half that from Stringbusters. i cant afford to support him at those prices.

Thats what i thought, but when picking songs we usually play safe by picking tunes everyone knows. like the other ones i have to get down is a Trex tune and a hit Inxs had wayback.

Do you do a tune in your set strictly for your own playing pleasure, rather than thinking this would go down well with the punters. the reason i'm asking is that i have managed to pursade the band to do Use somebody by Kings of Leon. well they did'nt take much pursuading really as they all like it. its a really simple bass thats going on but the sound Jared folowill gets makes the track i think. really looking forward to doing this one
