  1. It sounds like a lot of money. any idea of a price?

I've been to a couple of Pubs tonight and watched some bands. there was some really good bass players in some not so good bands, either the guitarist/singer was'nt as good as they thought they were or the drummer was crap, but the bass players i saw were spot on. one band the guy had Warwick through trace 4x10 and a Fender cab and another was playing a Variax through an Ashdown rig, after, i felt inadequate. sometimes its better not to watch other peoples playing, in other words someone always has a better sound than you. and their playing is on the ball but during your own gig there's always little things to annoy you.

  4. I have been over there quite often, but i wouldn't want to join. its a little bit overwhelming to me. Yanks are ok, the one other site i frequent as much as Basschat is a links site run by them and i have been there about five years and have got know a few people. one even has Welsh ancestry and speaks it.
  5. You could always try playing bass like Joegarcia who posts here on basschat. there is a post explaining why he plays like that but i cant find it at the moment.
  6. Can i ask what scale bass you are playing AM1?. When i got back into playing after a lengthy layoff i found the Pbass i was playing tough going on my hands and i have fairly large hands.

  8. I think the headstock shape is very important. ie: Fender P and J bass. perfect. Ric. the same. Gibson Les Paul guitars and basses ditto. everything else, big debate. IMO
