The band i'm in now plays twice a month and practises once a week. it's the guitar players band, he's been playing years and is on his third marriage and he's happy doing that. he has just cancelled a gig because there was noone there the last time we did it. it is a bit of poor place to play and i was'nt completely unhappy about the cancellation but it was better than sitting at home. he's my brother in laws brother and he understands that i want to play a bit more. the drummer and singer are other bands so i'm not the only one that wants to get out more. trouble is finding a band. getting a place practise. learning new numbers, it seems a right pain, but if that what it take i will just have pull my finger out. anyone else feel the need to play more than they do now?

I bought this off a fellow Basschatter earlier on this year. i hope do not mind mind me using the pic as my camera is pretty crap. The keyboard player in our band also plays Bass with his Mrs, He bought a Jaydee off a Basschatter a while back and plays that. this is sitting in a cupboard gathering dust. Its a 71 Precision CBS era. serial number 328223. its well worn and once had a jazz pick up fitted. thats been removed and filled in by a guy called John Giibbins. its a had a respray at one point. its Olympic white? the neck is worn but still plays great. My mate has a unusual style of playing, its left hand but set up for right handed play. so a right handed person could buy this and play a left hand right handed. . any questions pm me. i think he mentioned about £700. Another local Pub, went down well and got compliments off the guitarist and drummer how good the sound i'm getting is. damn hot though, i'm wondering if it's worth investing in a fan. it;s good fun though .

That makes sense otpj. i tried through the body stringing and i did'nt like the angle of the string. i play with a pick and have a rather attacking style of playing so i thought a better bridge would help.

The one on this new Pbass looked ok. if anyone can recommend or use a bridge apart from a Badass that fits. and by that i mean no drilling or filing i would be interested to hear about it.

Just got back from Dawsons in Chester. i went there to buy a Korg pitchblack tuner. A new Mia Pbass was hanging on the wall Olympic white with tort guard and maple fingerboard. £799. looked very nice, but what caught my eye was the bridge, the new ones seem a bit more substantial than the one on my 2002 Pbass. can these be bought on their own? i went up to another music shop called Back Alley music they caught sight of my tuner in a Dawsons bag and asked how much i had paid. £54 said i, haha, you should have come here first £48. Bugger! they gave me an email addy to find out how much they would do the Olympic white pbass for, got to be cheaper than Dawsons.

How long do those strings last with a pick? they look ok but i spend enough money Gas as it is. -
I make sure i wear a comfortable pair of shoes. i would hate to go on with new pair. the ones i usually wear are hush puppies, about ten years old but still look ok.

I have just put new strings on My MIA Pbass, the old strings went through the bridge as normal. but i decided to go through body, is there any advantage that way?.
