1. I saw them doing this act when they came to Deeside. they were.. not great really. seemed to be going through the motions. they say never meet yout heroes but they were the best band on the planet once upon a time.
2. This what wikipedia says. V Bass In 1981, Gibson produced a four-string bass version of the Flying V. Only 375 were produced, most of them black but a few in alpine white, silverburst, or transparent blue. Dean Guitars and Epiphone also make V shaped basses. Jim in action
3. Welcome to Basschat. there are quite a few chatters from the Bristol area so you will feel right at home. show us those Basses in the porn section why dont you.
4. I went with my mate who was going to buy the amp. he said fixing the dry joint was'nt a problem but finding it, he could'nt be bothered. the guy who was selling was williong to let it go for £100. as for the cabs. i'm not sure if they are genuine TE's, but i had a good play with them and they sounded pretty good.
5. He has a nice amber fireglo. way out of my price range though.
6. Is this guy a genuine rickenbacker backed seller then? http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Sound-Me-Out
7.
I quite fancy that too (sadly Mrs. Ou7shined has definitely put a stop to any more purchases) I could be way wrong but having just read this it kinda looks like a Raider I neck (dot markers) on a Raider II body (red non-2-tone finish).. but what are the chances of that? That Ace of Spades is mad but the guy shouldn't really say it's in great condition just in need of 2 strings (like they come in 2's) it's a bit beat up and has a guitar machine head on the G. Having said that someone (a Motörhead fan?) has asked for a BIN already.
And he answers. How much do you think its worth?.
8. Considering what some of the products are made of, the site is pretty basic.
9. It seem you can knobs made out of gold. silver or platinum. http://www.endlessknobbing.com/index.php
10. I like the look of this. but not the price. I've just noticed the strings on the first fret. looks a bit odd. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...=tab%3DWatching
11.
I could do, then again I've found a bloke who custom makes guitars and basses from metal. So I might just get myself a Metalbacker instead. It'll cost less than the Ricky and I'll like it more for being individual.
Have you a link or a pic for the Metalbacker?
12. A final bump before ebay. if anyone has some Wizard thumpers to swap that would be good.
13. Any chance of some pics. i could be interested.
14. Marshall have created a signature amp based on Lemmys 100watt amp. Nice stack. http://www.marshallamps.com/product.asp?productCode=1992LEM
15. I picked the cabs up this afternoon. i managed to get them both for £180. i'm happy with sound and i though it was a good deal. the amp i left. when you depressed the EQ button it made a noise that sounded like a dry joint. a tap on top of the amp and it made it disappear. could be still a bargain at a £100 or even less.
16.
Love it. That mining job sounds neat. Has he said what he's doing with the money? -- Is he doing an Into The Wild, or just starting again elsewhere? Guh. Who in their right mind would buy Intermission on DVD?
I heard him being interveiwed on the radio. he's just going to travel around the world. doing nothing basically.
17. I'm off there Friday afternoon. i will post about the head if anyone's interested.
18. That looks like a Fender Pbass but i have a feeling it's not, and what's that slab off concrete for?

22.
The Who - Baba O'Reilly. That whole violin bit which makes up pretty much the whole second half of the song! What's that about?
sacrilege!
