Been down the pub and met up with a guitar playing mate and got talking about the old days. he got talking about a club in Sunderland where he played and it seems they where minutes from going on when a bloke barged into the dressing room ranting and raving demanding to know who had parked in his spot.there was a large white van in his parking place. turned out he was the club secretary. the bass player turnes to the guy who was bald and says perfectly innocently keep your hair on mate to which the rest of the band burst out laughing. he was not amused and told the band to leave. so they they collected their money and went home. dont know what the guy said to rest of the club whe they found out there was no entertainment on. dont suppose anyone here on basschat has been paid off or have they?

That was cheap. i had my finger hovering on the bid again button and my wife hovering on my shoulder with a certain look on her face and i pulled out at $771. bugger! they dont come along every.

The guitarist is being a bit cheeky if he already knows that lot and expects you turn up and play them at short notice. i dont think they are all twelve bar songs. it sounds a bit of hard work that lot!

I played the first gig with my Pbass that i bought off dylanb last night. what can i say! i'm a convert. a great sound and a treat to play. the pub we played at used to be a house i think rather than the other way around. very small room. started off at low volume but when it filled up and people got dancing we turned it up. i'm getting payed for this. great stuff.

I think that round hole you mentioned is used when they are contouring the body i think. i'm sure someone wioll put me right if thats wrong.

How did he get that sound from his Pbass. any mods to it? what did it go through. i know he did'nt start off on bass. he was a classical guitarist. anyone?
