1. If he confirmed then he confirmed ...the last band I was in I had to confirm via text/email/& FB with different members & one would take a week to get back to me ..I had enough when the drummer claimed he had been doubled booked (funny as He didn't have a agent or PA) & found out He'd been offered a better paid gig by £10. He then complained that I cancelled future gigs with him ....Why are some talented people so disorganised ..drives me nuts .
2. I use EV powered subs 45lb each , but I only bother using them if I have time to mic up the drums etc for bigger venues & I have the time to do a decent sound check ..
3. I think it's great stuff ..most refreshing stuff I've heard in a long time .
4. Any car/van made for the UK market since 94 must have a immobiliser , Customs will make a import have one fitted , so someone got hold of a key .
5. My first record player played too fast & caused problems for myself when it came to working stuff out & turning up to band practice . I think warwick did a bass with frets all over the place for perfect pitch .
6.
My name is Jack. And I am happy. Next question, please?
Do you know any other dance moves
7. It's because you can't risk your partners finding out what you spend on bass stuff .
8. I had the super 12 & then 2 x super compacts , I found them very HiFi , (that they are supposed to be ) I was going to go for the 10" cabs but was put off by poor quality of the covering coming unattached , handles drove me nuts & they looked DIY made , not that's a bad thing just not for me . I found the Ashdown cabs suite me best .
9. Why do so many people use them ? You can't all be famous or work for MI5 .
10.
Thanks all - so bands on the IOW are getting properly stiffed by the looks of it! I wouldn't mind so much if we got £120 'off-season' (the IOW is very tourist-based) and the money went up in the summer but it's the same all year. Not that I'd ever stop gigging but it's interesting to know what you guys get paid in other parts of the country.
I think it's disgusting & I know the island pubs pay a lot less rates than mainland pubs . one pub in particular pays less than one a 3rd it's size even though it's packed .that's why I try to stick to private & mainland gigs .
11. One sounded slightly thinner to me .
12.

But He doesn't have this problem with my front ported cabs , To me it's obvious that the low end would also be louder to him with the rear port .
13. If I've had my rig in front of a drummer Ive had complaints when using rear ported cabs that the lows were too loud muddy sounding .
14. I've been gigging for over a year now using this Amp & my Shuker , It's just a great reliable workhorse of a rig .If you are in a Pub band & don't go through the PA the Graphic is very handy for dealing with the acoustics in the room .

looping

The loop funtion on my Roland GR55 just can't be made to work on live at gigs , are there any that can easily be used at gigs ? a small one would be nice . I'd use it on something like "Water front " Simple minds . cheers.
16.
I'd check your van's weight limits first. You don't want to go over this or you could have trouble braking. Vans are usually adequate for band vehicles, but your's is a Nissan. I've got a Nissan, they're usually underpowered & I don't trust anything Nissan say.
I'm a safe & vault engineer in my other life & so not too bad at weight limits ,

18.
What you'll end up with is a chain with a weak link. You may have seen it said that sealed cabs have more definition than ported. It's not true. Definition occurs in the midrange, and there's no difference in the response of sealed versus ported cabs in the mids. As for a 410 atop a 115, that's probably the worst possible cab configuration, nothing about it makes any sense.
I was hoping that the top cab not being ported & different speakers that it would exaggerate the high frequencies ...I see a lot of mixed speakers set ups that sound pretty good so maybe it's theory V practice thing ..I'll give it a go & report back .
19. I've been playing with a Ashdown 4x8 neo ported cab rated at 1000rms 8 ohms & I'm thinking of getting a Ashdown 4 x8 ceramic sealed cab rated at 400w to go on top , the idea is that the sealed cab would give a more defined sound a bit like having a 4x10 on top of a 1 x15 or won't it work like that ?
20. Thanks for all the advice .
21. I have a 6 seat SWB Nissan Primastar , two or 3 seats can easily be removed . I'm going to see if I could get all the bands equipment into it to make car ferry crossings to mainland feasible . Any clever stacking/organising suggestions welcome .
22. Just seen a video of the original owner James Crofts playing this on FB . I could never get grips with a 6 string . https://www.facebook.com/jamescroftsbassist/videos/10153474658203932/
23.
I missed meeting Lemmy by seconds when he was round at my mates with her dad. Turns out her dad was the drummer in saxon I think, who was taking over drumming duties in motorhead, Pete something. She was telling me about a strange bloke her dad fetched round who was a acting a bit spaced out. I wasn't very interested but then she mentioned a cowboy hat and warts. I asked what his name was and she said "lenny or summat like that". At that time he was my bass hero, we ran up the road to see him but he had just gone, never to show his face in sheffield again..
I nearly pushed some birthday cake into Lemmys face ,It was at the Embassy Club in Bond st , I was chasing my drummer with a piece after he did the same to me .
24. THANKS
