Is it loud enough for a stage monitor if going into PA , Pubs /Clubs ,...Does anyone have one ?

Anyway trading standards are looking into it & quite a a few of those bands are now refusing to play at this venue , It'll be interesting to see what Trading Standards have to say , I'm just looking at the add for the event "In aid of ..." it should of said "in aid of the pub "

[/quote] It sounded pretty good standing behind the PA I just need something for a bit more definition on my side .I'll probably only use this set up in the pub /small club gigs as it's to save carrying gear & give more space ,Larger venues I'll just use my Ashdown Rig. I'm going to have a look at that Ashdown Mi combo on here .

I'm going to try a gigging going straight into my PA with new active subs via my Roland GR55 & Ashdown graphic DI , I'm very impressed with the sound but could do with a tiny combo I could plonk on top of the sub for a monitor ,any suggestions.

Every amp manufacturer should be incorporating a tuner .

That's got me thinking , I transport 2 members in the band , supply the PA & arranged everything ...I think it's time to look for another band I just want to turn up & play bass .

If a pub puts on a all day charity event & over 20 bands play free of charge , the PA is donated free & then I find out that the pub that would normally take about £2k takes over £9k & only gives a donation of £200 to the charity . Is that legal or just immoral ?

I spent 5 years in London with no car & gigged a lot , But most venues had really good PA systems / back line . My guitarist doesn't drive but has moved opposite to my place So it's not a problem as I have a mini bus .

The JJB 500 is flippin loud ,if required & if you just want a graphic amp .

I was wondering if even setting a tempo with deadened note on a loop would help or make it worse ?

One of my bands have been dropped in it more than once by the drummer not turning up, & rather than cancel a gig would you use a pre programmed drum machine ? Or just use one for a basic tempo or cancel ? any suggestions .

I have the Barefaced Super Compacts But I prefer the Ashdown RM 1 x12" , They have more low end thud & a tweeter , The Compacts have more of a Hi Fi as they are supposed to I think ? best you try some & compare .
