Do they work like luminous watches? And does the glow last a whole set? Could be a really good idea that one.
[/quote] I didn't know about them until He showed me them on another customers bass , I haven't got my bass back yet So I can't report on how long they last .I just presume they will last .
Jon shuker is putting some glow dots on the edge of my bass for this reason . I actually moved some lights during a song on the last gig rather that than go blind .
In my small circle of bass playing chums down my way 4 of us have had the TC250 w head or combo version & all of them had to be sent back , Another two that play professionally have had reliability problems on other models .
I paid £800 in the early 90s for a Ampeg 8x10 ( appalling build quality by the way ) no one wanted to pay more than £200for it 6 months later . & swapped a Fender Precision 78 for a pair of Kudos pa speakers .still trying to track down as I have the serial number .

I use an ABM1000 (evo3 preamp with a 1k class-d amp) with 1 or 2 super compacts at the moment. So very very good.

same as me , Flippin fantastic amp why not give Lee at Ashdown a call . I also have the 400 w version & that still knocks my old MB heads for six . The bass lounge have a combo going for a trade price you could take the head out & get a sleeve or rack kit for it .
I found that the Markbass 500w heads were louder than the 800w because the 800w version had a digital power section . I'd get another cab , But It does sound like you may be too loud ?
Just a feeler at the moment ,I have two Barefaced super compacts generation 3 as new condition with covers , I think my sound is more of the multi 10" cab ,type sound .I'd be looking at UK made stuff or trade for two Barefaced 2x10" cabs
Ashdown after sales service & technical help is excellent . unlike certain other companies who want to charge for every single little thing & then wonder why they have no customer loyalty .....just saying .
I think it depends on what your priority is , I have barefaced stuff because of my poor back , but if I had roadies I'd probably have a Ashdown 8 x10 ..
I wonder if anyone in the audience thought they were crap ? Sound like he had issues .
I helped do the PA for a Hero of mine & at sound check He stopped because the bass player made a slight mistake & shouted "Do you know what the F**k you're doing " I thought you're hardly Eric Clapton yourself I would have walked ...They say should never meet your heroes
Thanks for every ones advice , The other night I tried a JTS NX mic & it did the job unlike the DI I didn't have to do anything on the PA eq , I jut plonked the mic about 3" in front of the BF cab using a cab mic holder .
