1. I think it's just because The drummer was sat right next to my cab , I was stood right in front of His kick drum & the balance sounded ok to me . The main trouble we had was that we were in a tiny corner of the pub & punters still expected to hear us around a corner & even in another room .
2. I'll just get the drummer some ear plugs
3. I did a gig Sat night , & the the sound out front was great apparently after being told to turn up by several people at the sound check . But to be honest I felt I was too loud for our poor drummer ,I could move the cab because of the tight stage . I was wandering if it was worth using both my Barefaced Super compacts , one behind me & the other out front under the vocal PA ?
4. I'm starting to wonder if I will ever use the second one .
5. I did see that but it's a bit too much money , I might try using one of my Super Compacts & digital power amp I already have .
6. Any recommendations for a light weight active Sub , only going to be used in pub/clubs for the kick drum , I currently use a Alto 15" 600w RMS & I know it's only 65lbs but with my poor back I was wandering if their is anything lighter , I see there is a 12" EV that's 20lbs lighter ?
7. For me some were louder but they sounded crap all guitar & bikers head banging . There was one band I remember in the early 80s that sounded excellent , the bass player had a Peavey 15" blackwidow combo , Guitarist Had a 15W session combo , & the PA was a Peavey XR600 & Kudos speakers , They simply based the volume around the bass drum . They had a great full sound not too quite & not too loud . My first Amp was a Fender bassman 135 , I now have a ABM1000 do I need it certainly not , I don't even need the volume of the ABM400 is capable of .I do however think the sound quality is better especially on D tuned stuff .
8. Any suggestions for a cheap Mic to put over snare / Hi hat ..thanks

10. I've gone for a second SC . thanks for all the advice .
11. Super Compact is on it's way via The great British Bass lounge ..so that's Brighton to The Isle of wight via Manchester . I've got my custom made ear plugs , My ABM1000 & revenge will be had on my guitarist & His Marshall stack only joshing He's ok as guitarists go .
12. I think if you have it turned off it diverts the signal into the 12".
13. I suppose I can always turn the tweeter off & it would be pretty close to two super compacts ?
14. At band rehearsal last night i was using the Super Compact & loved the sound , But I went for a walk about & I noticed that when I walked away & off of axis I couldn't hear the lovey zing of the rotosound strings I normally hear . I was about to order another Super Compact but would a Super Midget with the The tweeter & focused mid punch be a better option ?
15.
Great British Bass Lounge? They stock Barefaced.
Thanks ,
16. These are great cabs , the only reason I let mine go is because I thought I would go down the 2 x super compact route for practical reasons .. I'm not sure I need two now after trying just one .
17.
Good to hear you're liking your SC. Why not buy a Super Midget for even more versatility? Frank.
I can't see how it would improve on the sound ? Do you ever use both of your cabs together ?
18. I've now done a couple of pub gigs with this cab So here is my opinion . My main concern is my poor back , Carrying it is like carrying a small empty suite case So a big plus. Sound wise It's only going to be as good as the head you use , I use a Ashdowwn ABM1000 .This should make the cab work for it's money if needed , It's not a huge amount different from my old upper 12T maybe a bit tighter in the mid range . Using two other speaker systems 2 x Ashdown 2x10 neo cabs & the BF super 12T I'm able to get the sounds I like with eq changes , But The Ashdowns were 45lbs per cab . I've been playing in a covers band , covering a wide range of tones doing anything from The Stranglers To Sledge Hammer by Peter Gabriel with loads of Compression , & sub Oct ,It handled al with ease . I've been trying to talk myself into buying another one But I really don't think that I need one But it would look cool . Another thing I would say is that I don't miss the tweeter a all , I use to have this et half way on the Super 12T . & another thing , Standing really close to this cab on gigs I don't get the problem of not being to hear myself on small stages as I did .
19. How come that they are virtually the same weight when The Super Compact is considerably bigger , a tweeter can't weight that much , can it ?
20. I've got one in my Flat , I originally wanted to use it for a monitor , but when you turn the volume it also increase the DI line level ?
21. Thanks for that I'm the guy on the top of the list , I'm just trying to get another one ASAP .
22. Does anyone know of a shop that has one in stock , Cheers.
23.
I've seen a video of Dave Swift at the LBGS saying that he have 15 of them and is happy to buy more. Drop him a message
A mate of His is looking at it & has taken some pics . thanks though .
24. I've got a a few local people looking at it I really don't want to post & would prefer people to try it & look at it as it has a few dings . Sorry no trades . I;ll try to get some better pics put up .
