I'm not even gigging at the moment but talking myself into buying another amp, is it just me ? or am I as I suspect mad

I had a TC 250 & it sounded quite thin sounding with a barefaced super 12T & so did my MarkBass little Rocker & Mo Mark 250 compared to my Ashdown head .

Norman Watt Roy was using one on Later with Jules H a few months back & out of all the bands His was the worst sound ? They look fantastic though .

My mates shop had a Mark King Trace Elliot V & no one could fix the bloody thing ...You might want to consider that.

I would't bother they will make you have a break down .

Can you really hear a difference ? really ? years ago I had a group of friends & I A / Bd a Mesa Boogie 400+ against a Trace Elliot Mrk 6 via a Ampeg 8 x 10 , I did shape the EQ on the Trace Elliot to emulate the Mesa sound .The thing is I asked my friends to try both with there backs to the amp while I switched between the two & everyone got it wrong & some of these guys play for a living . So are these Valve amps worth the extra ?

I gig the Shukers & love them , Using the acoustic in my flat is more spontaneous .

I have 2 Shuker basses ,one jazz with a status neck & A Ibanez musician all great basses .....But I've only just realized that I spend most of my time in my flat using a cheap Vintage acoustic bass for working stuff out ...does anyone else do this ? & maybe I should treat myself to a new acoustic bass & suggestions ? 34" plus scale .

Forget all the cheap ear plugs , Spec savers can make you custom ones for about £160 You have a choice of filters & they keep everything balanced & you can have them converted to in ear monitors .My ENT specialist told me to never stick anything smaller than you elbow in your ear & only use olive oil .

Both of them are great in my opinion in there own way . It does make me laugh when people have said Ashdown stuff sounds muddy & then these guys use them

interesting to see JJ using a Mark King Head , When I thought the transformers were supposed to be different ? Having said that the EQ shape is different .[attachment=193285:mark King.jpg]

Just reading the review in BM . So if one of the speakers goes how long will it take to find out which one ?

I wouldn't , Then again there are sheds & there are sheds . I left some gear in my Van for about 10 weeks once & that caused problems with the jack inputs .

I have a Ashdown ABM RH400 digital & it can can get any sound you like
