1. We've all cocked up the easiest song in the set at some point so It's all relative I suppose
2. If it's for a hobby it has to be fun , even rehearsals . the last two bands I was in were a nightmare . It's worth waiting for the right people to work with .
3. The chorus is straight notes & going back to the verse is tricky . It's improving with practice I might also shorten my strap slightly to see if that helps .
4. I've just started working on a cover by " The Gang Of Four " ( At Home He's a tourist ) I'm having trouble keeping the triple riff constant ,for the tone I don't want to use finger style . Any tips would be welcome . thanks .
5. I think He was using a Hiwatt Rig with a blown/Ripped speaker cone when recording that one .
6. The Lightweight Ashdown ABM stuff is very good , a hell of a lot more balls compared to my Mark Bass little Rocker & Mo Mark .
7. Just looking at the tab for 5 minutes & I'm pretty sure It should be a semi tone down , just wondering if some one could check , cheers .
8.
Be interesting to see these in the flesh. They make a big deal of the compression and sub octave features, but does anyone actually use them? I have two AMB500s and an EB combo and never use either of these 'features'.
I use them all the time , The overdrive for Stranglers / Yes stuff , Comp & Sub for Peter Gabriel stuff .
9. I like the idea , I'd like to see a JJB Head with the overdrive , comp, & Sub features.
10. Thanks , It's a very versatile Rig .
11. Very pleased with this set up , The weight & height really suits me for sound & I think it looks great.
12. Very Happy with this Set up , I like the height for clarity .
13. Nice to hear I was going to ask if they could make me a JJB head with the overdrive , Comp & Sub from the AMB but this is pretty close .
14. imagine how long it take to find a blown speaker on the larger Phil Jones Rig .
15. They look pretty cool , Has anyone tried one ? & are they digital powered ? as the digital ones like I have( ABM 400 RH ) seem to be withdrawn ? Now If they could somehow have the input dial also operate as a tuner that would be a perfect amp for me .
16. I'm going to try the vertical stacking as I'm quite tall , It should help me hear better definition . I've also just noticed What Blu Ray pointed out ,that the holes in the grill are the same shape as the badge , nice touch .
17. You will never be able to do a bass line exactly the same as the original artist because you are not them , That's my excuse & I'm sticking to it .
18. Genetix (The Stranglers ) , Model Man (King Crimson) took a while to get the feel right .
19. Because of my situation I was using another Rig , Then I had a break & had time to look into things , The one from GAK was very good price . Talking of Ashdown offering to make stuff , I'm thinking of asking them if they would make a head for me , a sort of cross between a JJB head & AMB 400 RH .
20. That's why I went for the 36" for the tension .
21.
As stated in my email sorry the cabs didn't match, the cab you received was from a run of sealed versions and a few people said they would prefer strap handles so we fitted those. I think we prefer the metal inset handles though so we will be going back to that. We have also said we will build you one the same as your existing cab so there's nothing to be disappointed by really...
I've just found another one at GAK should be here on Tuesday .. thanks for the offer .
22. I got Jon shuker to make me a 36" tuned DGCF & i use a capo on the 2nd fret , I use Roto sound RB50 strings , & It works really well for me .
23.
Actually, I do not work for GAK, I'm just bored today and thought I would help you out with your breakdown
Thanks
24. I've discovered a new device called a phone , I might try to use it to contact GAK .
25. I sent an email to GAK asking them to confirm the spec on one of the cabs as I've had problems before & this is the reply I got ;Hi Kevin, many thanks for your email. Actually, there was no 2013 version of the SG Futura Min-Etune.Perhaps you are referring to the 2013 SG Future Tribute, in which case there are a few differences. The Future Tribute is a more 'stripped down' guitar ,and has '57 pickups ,asymmetric neck profile and ships with a gig bag, whereas the 2014 Futura has a P90 and Burstbucker 3 pickups, 60's neck profile, 15db boost switch,120th anniversary inlay at the 12th fret and comes with a hardshell case.Gibson guitars carry a years warranty. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance. Kind regards Guitar Shop GAK.CO.UK I'm now convinced that they're all trying to make me have a break down
