I was doing an A/B test the other day with my amps & something I noticed was that I couldn't tell any difference in volume between my MB little Rocker (500w) & the MarkBass Mo Mark 250 watt even when pushing them ..why would that be ?

I have parametric eq on my mb momark on the hi mid & high frequency I can only adjust two chosen frequencies ,

I'm thinking of having something rack mountable but can give more tone control from high mid to high than what I have on m y Ashdown ABM 400 RH .

Should you link this to your amp via the front main input or via the in /out effects ?

I use Peavey UL 12" tops , I did have UL subs but a keyboard player blew them I replaced them with one Alto powered sub & it's fantastic & a great price .

A lot of bass players I know also organize their band , I do the PA , Van & book gigs . I work more hours than anyone else in my band , The keyboard player doesn't even work & he's blown two of my PA subs , turns up late for sound check , refuses to get gigs , & even refused to pick the singer up from the Ferry ...he's going ...but still feel bad about it ..flip knows why? I've told the other 2 members they need to pull their weight ...& I bet nothing happens But I get moaned at if I say I'm thinking of working with another band ?

The fact that these are no more , Would that effect you from buying one with reference to future servicing ? I'm looking at a couple a 9.2 & a 12.2 .

I would like to buy an amp that has been built with care & pride & not by a company who main concirn is profit because it shows . In my opinion .

Are there any companies out there that only makes high quality bass amps & don't get involved with budget stuff ?

I other day & for some reason I didn't go through the PA & it kept up with the 4K pa , You can see it on youtube under "Scary Clown College" & the person recording it was right next to the PA Sub . Any way last night I spent ages checking out the following heads with the 12T , TC Bh250 this just sounded horrible I just couldn't get away from a nasal sound .The Markbass Little Rocker & MO Mark 250 were ok but lacked ooomph compared to the Ashdown ABM 400 RH . I'd like to try a Genz Benz but worried about support .

I've seen a video of JJ using the MK heads , personally I don't think there is any difference between the two As I have tried both & think they are excellent . At the moment I use the ABM 400RH as that has a built in drive, compression & octave that is useful for me . Interestingly JJ uses the graphic head for the 4 x 10 cabs & a ABM for the 15s & none of the overdrive is used at all .But there is a small Korg all in one practice type gadget that is used to add distortion via the PA .

Do these amps sound the same as the BH250 head , but just louder ? I use a BH250 head in my flat with headphones for pracrice & it has a nasal sound to it when using a pic .

I've had mark Bass 2 x 4x8 , 1 x 12Ny & a 121 H cab they are Good but the Bareface Super12T wins it for me & at 37Ilbs my back is happy .

I found the same problem when using the mark bass little Rocker with the Super 12T But it seems ok with the Ashdown Head ?

I could change the name of my cab to Bearfaced super 12T..... I'll leave now .

I also got a message from TC stating these amps are just as good as quality as the RH range , they just have different features .

If the tone print is the same as on the BH250 I found some really nice Chorus effects , The Octave effect was pretty good but dropped the volume . I'm very tempted as I could have everything in one & use is in my flat for practicing .
