1.
There are special stands out there. A bear crate is going to be far too tall.
it would look good though .
2. The TC BH800 looks very tempting as that has everything I need , but now the Genz has come to my attention I know it doesn't have all those features but what an amp ! .
3. What sort of styles do you play ? I mainly play with a pic.
4. for a couple of my gigs I could do with raising this cab about 12" off of the ground . what would be the best thing to put it on ? Bear crate ? flight case ? or are there special stands out there ?
5. the only head I can think of that has a tuner & effects are the TC BH500 & 800 .
6. If you were in a regular Pub/club gigging band & wanted the best transportable rig you could get & didn't want the hassel of external pedals, just plug in & play what would you get ?
7. The DI was set to MAX & post eq Line in level was nearly max , using a canon to canon , I will double check the lead & try a bit of switch cleaner on the DI out .
8. I think it's 44Ibs , It is a great cab only selling because I ordered another one & design had been changed without notice ,Now using my Barefaced & now I'm sticking with it for all bands I play with .
9. Doing a gig last night I just couldn't get a very strong signel from the MB DI even when everything was driven & giving a very thin sound going threw the PA , I don't get this problem with my Ashdown head using the same PA & lead Has anyone e;lse had this problem ?
10. I found a test report that stated the 500w frame produced 534 watts continues & 659 watts peak , The 600w digital frame 488 continues & 497 peak , The 800watt 635 continues & 817 peak . I'll probably stick to the 500w frame as it has the same power sectiom as in my Little rocker & all the other similar heads .
11. I'm not able to A/B them & wanted to know if they sounded different as well ?
12.
I've got the 800 and it's the best amp I've ever had in 25 years and a LOT of rigs. tbh I'm sure it's not 'actually' 800watts, but it is reeeeeally loud! Works lovely with the valve pre-amp too.
This is the 800 watt Mo Mark Frame I take it ?
13. I have the 250 frame & several modules , I love the flexibility But it sounds a bit thin when I do D tuned stuff compared to when I use my 500w little Rocker .
14. I have found these two heads with only £30 difference between the two .But as they use different amps would I be any better off with the 800w digital ?
15.
No more than Genz Benz did. Look around the back of a Streamliner 900 and you will see above the mains inlet the words 'MAXIMUM AVERAGE POWER CONSUMPTION 650 WATTS'. It's all to do with how they handle the peaks...
Isn't that the power taken to power it & not the watts it produces ?
16. I'm not really interested in any trades all though I am after a MB MO Mark 500 or 800w frame .
17. It's probably the most versatile bass I have had , But I never liked the look of it & I prefer passive basses .
18.
I had the 500w frame first and then bought the 800w via BC as a backup. I have the same modules in both of my Momark amp frames and have gigged both with the same eq settings on the amp and using the same bass (eq set flat). After gigging with the 800w frame for a half a dozen gigs I found that:

I think that there is a subtle sound difference but it's hard to give a definitive answer on what it is. If anything I would say that the 500w frame amp feels like it has a slightly warmer sound.
I had the output volume on the 800w at almost the same level as on the 500w (I don't go through the PA). I'm sure someone has done a proper output comparison that would prove that the 800w output is louder and I was just turning up too much on these gigs!
The 800w frame amp didn't get as hot as the 500w frame amp, which seems logical given the different class A/B and class D amps.
I've gone back to using the 500w frame for reason 1 alone although I would happily gig with and recommend either frame. I hope this info is useful.
I didn't realize they had two different types of power , I think i'll go for the 500 then .
19. I hope these are better pics
20. Probably the best tuner you can get , great for bass techs .
21. Includes original Case , 3 of the knobs are not original as in picture , Some marks on it here & there but still a great bass . I haven't used it for 18 years & would just like to see it being used .
22. Withdrawn , please remove
23. As New includes T1M, MO master , Eq0, http://www.markbass....tail.php?id=160 Might trade for a Ashdown retro glide or Rootmaster 800 Thanks .
