1.
One 4 string bass and one D-tuner. That's all I need. Used 5, 6, 8 & 12 string basses for years but I really only need one 4 string to do everything
What D tuner do you use . I've tried several & haven't liked any of them .
2. Now I have a new bass that enables me to play some of the songs without having to D tune I have the option of using a Capo to play the rest of the set or just use my other bass . I like the idea of just using one bass as one is 36" scale & the other 34" . I wonder if swapping basses makes you loose continuity in some way. what do yo ladies & gents think .?
3. Thanks for that , very interesting stuff .
4. While setting up my Bass & getting the intonation spot on . I noticed that if I fret a note that note some notes are very slightly out according to the tuner is this normal ?
5. I noticed the problem I had was that it's a new 36" scale Shuker & it came with extra long Roto sound strings .On the E string that is D tuned to D the cotton wrapping around the ball end was resting on the bridge I didn't notice it at first but this had a dampening effect now all resolved .Thanks for all your help.
6. Do you mean String tension ? I've only been used to the fender style that is relatively quick to use .
7. Yes thanks , I've been told to loosen off the 3mm machine screw at the back slightly , Then loosen the small machine screw & slide the saddle to change the intonation . This seems that it would be a bit awkward to slide the saddle while the string is under tension .
8. Does anyone have any instructions on how to adjust this bridge . Cheers.
9. I already do that on some songs but just can't do it on these .
10. At the Moment I have a Shuker JJB , but I'm waiting for a 36" Shuker . I had a 5 string before & really could get on with it .. It takes me about a minute to D tune across all strings
11. In part of my bands Set I have to D tune on all 4 strings 2 steps down D,G,C,F As this takes a bit of time would the best solution be 1 Have another bass ready D tuned 2 Have a Hipshot D tuner per string ........or is that a stupid idea?
12. Thanks
13. I'm having a 36" Shuker built ,I'm planing to D tune 2 steps across all strings & use a capo on the 2nd fret for normal tuning .Can anyone recommend a make of Capo . Thanks .
14. I have had owned the following makes of amp/cab, Ampeg,Bearfaced, Carlbro,Fender Bass Man, GK, Hartke,Laney, Mesa Boogie,Mark Bass,Peavey,Trace Elliot, Warwick . & the only two things I use & will always use are the MB little Rocker & the BF super 12T ( I do wish I had kept the Fender Bassman though as an investment) As for the weight of the BF super 12T , if you can't easily lift it then I would be surprised if you had the strength to get out of bed .The handles are fine by the way
15. I use a Peavey XR1212 with 15 UL tops & UL 15 subs & a CS3000 power amps for the subs . The cabs are only abour 50lbs each . The auto EQ on the XR 1212 is great . we can mic up the kit & it gets a great sound that is missing in a lot of pub bands IMHO .
16. I was really really cheesed off when I heard about this generation 3 stuff as my super 12T is only about 6 weeks old .but I like the sound I get a lot & that's all that matters . Ref damage to speakers it doesn't matter how robust the cab is if you hit it hard enough you're more likely to knock the Magnet out of line ,that's from my experience with PA stuff anyway .

On the MS60b , would it be possible to do this , have these effects in one patch ,Sans amp,Delay,& metal distortion. & use it like this ,hit a note that has a metal distortion & a delay that would just repeat for the entire song but play the bass line over this with just the sans amp sound ?
18. These must be available for guitar & amps ,can anyone recommend a make ?
19. I've owned both & I would definitely go for the MB , because it's louder , & for me more reliable . The GK also had an anoiying hum /buzz when getting Stranglers type sounds that I didn't get with the MB. The MB has a lot more depth & could handle even a low C at volume .
20. Or do you have to scroll onto the bypass icon ?
21. i've also found that on the pre set effects you can't turn them on & off
22. Thanks for that , hes seems to be doing somethin faster on the record version ?

One thing I find & that is when I choose an effect that I have already edited & put in s memory space ,I'm changing it by accident sometimes or could I be doing something wrong ...probably .
24. I wouldn't mind trying to find some Tab for this one .
