1. I have a 29 year old jazz bass, it has a few dings here and there but nothing like a roadworn. I tend to look after my gear But I really fancy a roadworn bass they look cool and sound fantastic, if I did that amount of damage to a bass myself I would be kicking my self. I would much rather somebody did it in a factory and know that it's all intact and in perfect working order
2. Best p bass I have played is a 1980's squire, I have a 1983 jap that is pretty ok. I can think of rakes of companies that make a better jazz or p then fender ever did. But that is prob about the most boring and over debated arguement on the interweb I just got to sit and watch he show with the 5 way speaker thing on and man I dig daves tone. Bass looked and sounded fantastic. Next bass could be a super p but I still have an itch for a sandberg
3. If it makes you happy buy it, and remember a loan is just like saving in reverse ;-)
4. Great band, great front man great loss. I had his black fender in my house for about a week must dig out the photos !! I got to know his mum after he died and she used to get up with our band wand sing whiskey in the jar. Great tune dude
5. I don't just drum I play the spoons too! Diddnt even answer I just hung up the phone
6. Congrats to him, great player and a true love for bass
7. I spent 3600 on a bass without playing it, the bass was very good but just not what I had hoped for. Never going to buy unplayed again
8. Mr slap ! Had some of the worst bass face moments !! Class vid Rhythm stick is a fun tune to play
9. Great clip, I am also listing to a lot of country rock at the moment because of an original artist I am playing with. Looks like a fun band too
10. When I see a band play that is using a word stand or a cheat sheet all I think is "lazy git couldn't be bothered to learn the words" Our singer will use one if we are doing a first dance at a wedding and will never be doing the song again, but that's it. I sing bv on nearly every song we do and lead vocals on about ten songs. The worst for me is "pencil full of lead" ..... "No ain't going down till the sun comes up" really dislike that song. Someone said write the words down, very good tip On a tricky song it can take up to two days of playing it on repeat every time I get in the car. And a few hours here and there in the house until my wife is sick to death of it ! But when you do learn you never forget it, I can go six months or more having not sang a song and then play and sing it off the cuff. My keyboard player reads a song once and then never needs to look at it again, makes me sick But if you use cheat sheets you will never learn it, just spend time on it, it will stand to you forever

A quick twist of he trust rod about 4 times a year on my stingray 5, my 25 th Ann was much worse but my 93 maple neck never need adjusting ! The trust rod whel adjuster is a life saver, but I don't find my fenders move as Much and the Dingwall has not been with me to long enough to tell yet.
13. Pretty cool, but hey if you dont like it don't buy it ! Just don't post a stupid long reply using every big word you know, managed to read the first two lines and went back to playing my bass Why is the neck 34 on the super J and P bass ? I have grown to love the 37" on the ABII
14. Ha ha I had many a night in holland looking for ways to pass the time !! My Dingwall was in ireland on a Friday of a bank holiday weekend and I got it on Tuesday !! Just remember when life hands you a Jeffrey stroke the furry wall ;-)
15. [sup]i think it took me about 2 years to get fully comfortable and i was gigging about 2-3 times a week.[/sup] [sup]the only reason i changed was also because of a singer changing keys, but i am so happy i stuck with it.[/sup] [sup]the tip about playing in the fith fret is cool it helped me alot[/sup]
