cheers dude,i really dont know if i should sell it or not.It also has a bit of history with BP.I got messed around by a local store and missed the window for ordering so after hearing about it he said he would go ahead and put it back in production for me so its the last one that was made. The top is stunning and the tones are great,i play in a corp/wedding band and love it because i can get every sound i need from the one bass.it goes from sweet Jamerson to full on killer slap in the push of a few buttons. As i type this i am wondering about selling it at all, but i got to get me a dingwall after playing Fran's one

Hi Gareth, Fran Here is a funny thing, I would never let the condition of a bass stop me buying it or make me pay More for it. But then all of fran's basses are in better than showrom Condition and he got a very high price for his bongo

I was a very happy man with this bass untill I played a dingwall owned by grandwazoo and now I just have to get one. I will post pictures when I get home. It's is in 9/10 condition I keep my basses well but I also believe in gigging them however there is no marks or chips on it anywhere. It comes with the original hard shell case which does have a few scrapes on it but I will take pic's of it too. I am looking for £2000 for this or a trade with a dingwall bass Grandwazoo (Fran) can vouch for the condition of this bass as he was playing it at the weekend And if it was not for him and his fine collection of dingwalls I would not be selling my 25th. I have an 83 one I think, I can't remember theexact year I bought it. Back in the day we where on many a tour together I really do love this bass and a friend of mine has it to record his album as he also just love it. These days I normally play five string so I don't use it much The body is more of a p bass than a jazz so you would need a p shape guard. I have no idea if one would even fit as I have never measured it. But u should pick one up for a few hundred quid these days. Oh yeah over the last 20 odd years the colour have gone into the most amazing deep pearl I have ever seen. It would really be a shame to paint it D

all i know is he is the bass player and md for westlife and is one bad ass cat

I loved the 2006 ltd. However a 4 string went here for 800 euro a few months back. If I was you I would keep it until the Market picks up a bit. If you do sell it hold out till you get decent mony for it.

I have a USA jazz bass. 1993 in very good condition for the year and I have a USA p bass in trans orange witha tort pg and a White pg. The pbass is a beautiful bass it's string through body with a bad ass III bridge but I also have to original one too. I have flats on it and the neck is satin finished. It really is a class bass. It also has the s1 switch. It has been to 3 gigs since I bought it new in 2005 the rest of the time has been in the studio. I have the hard case and the case candy. I am looking to swap either or both. I am looking for a stingray 5 fretless or a sandberg jm 5 I justdont play 4 bangers anymore. Shoot me a pm if you have anything you wish to trade just as long as it's a 5er. I am in ireland but know a shipping company that give me great rates for delivery and collection. I will put some pics up tomorrow

It was bought new about 3 or 4 years ago and had never even gotten warm. It was used about two years as the main backline amp at an open air festival, itwas on for about six hours and had some really loud and heavy band using it and still nevr got warm! They are a fantastic amp normally and I just ordered the tube version. By sounded better I mean it was full of tone and the normal warm sound I am used to. Over the last few gigs mine seem to have lost volume. I kept putting it down to bad electrics in the venues we where playing. I gave it to a repair guy and he had it running all day yesterday and said it didn't overheat and the fan was working fine. I mailed markbass customer care to see if they have any ideas. Cheers dude David

Hi guys Any help here would be great. I use a LMII head and a markbass 4x10 4 omh cab. I play in a wedding band so it never anyway loud. Over the past few gigs I have noticed a drop in volume and tone and on Friday night it cut out in the middle of a gig. I turned it off and on and it came back at a really low volume and after a few minutes came back to a normal level. But the cut out a few minutes later. I bypassed it and went straight into the desk for the last few songs. When we finished I checked it and it was really hot and the fan was not working. So I opened it up to let it cool down. Played with the fan a bit and then plugged it back in and the fan came on. But I set it yesterday and left it on all day and the fan worked. Do you think it could be an intermitten fan issue ? I only ever heard of a fan breaking completely not this. I am 300 mile trip from the nearest dealer so it may be a while before I can get it there. I used a friends LMII head last night and the difference in tone and volume was amazing. Also the fact that I am running it with a 4 ohm cab the whole time could that make a difference. I just ordered a new head today and will only ever use this as a back up when I do get it fixed

Markbass Little Mark Tube OR Markbass Little Rocker??
swanbrook replied to ajerthebadger's topic in Amps and Cabs
argh i am in the same boat my lmII head died last night in a gig.the fan stopped working and it kept over heating, while i will get it fixed i will only ever use it as back up from now on. i love the sound of the rocker but i cant try them out myself.i cant find a shop in ireland that has them so its off to thomann.my choice is either the LMIII or the LMR,i dont know here a massive difference in the LMT on any of the you tube stuff. I need to order soon too as i am right in the middle of christmas party season and have a loaner for a few days . the LMIII is 666 euro on thomann, stick on a vt bass and i think that might be the vibe, however i love the handyness of just getting some grit from the rocker if and when i need it.......any advice or reviews would be great guys ! -
Very nice score fran !

Wow that map of the ocean stuff is really good! I know very little about jazz I have tried to listen to it many time before and I just can't get into it. I am not slagging off jazz I really do want to learn more about it but it just doesn't speak to me. I have played all the clips on the last page of this thread to the end ( bar the one with men in their underpants sitting in water blowing bottles and playing a flute, that I don't ever want to understand) The only one that I really dug was the map of the ocean stuff ! Can somebody tell me what type of jazz that is and is it a good place to start ? I have been playing bass for nearly 20 years and would love to be able to play like some of these cats but justdont know where to start. Again I am not trying to offend any ones taste in music I just need a point in the right direction Cheers Dave
