  1. So many good points made...
  2. Tie your Kangaroo down sport - Rolf Arris
  3. There was one on eBay last week which didn't sell for £100 and was relisted. Must have sold - couldn't find it.
  4. Zoom B2 (plus a spare) for me. I also have a Johnson J Station but I think that I've used it once.
  5. The one on Gumtree sold - no idea for how much though.
  6. Is this the one I posted in the Weird and wonderful thread? I love the "had no money so I spent it" mentality. When I was in my 20s I had to "spend my money before I spent it". Usually involved buying stuff I didn't need.
  7. (Will you still love me) When I'm 64? - Macca and the boys
  8. Interesting...so your advice is to "don't listen to them, listen to me" even though there is a consensus that Acoustic basses generally aren't loud enough without amplification and that feedback can be an issue. Several people have suggested that a semi Acoustic could be a good compromise, again the OP should take your opinion over the advice of the many...🤔🤔
  9. Al Capone - Prince Buster
  10. Give somebody who may not have seen this amazing bargain a chance to see/buy these... Far too cheap
  11. Hatfield 1980 - EBTG
  12. TBH I think that Squier represent better VFM that many of the top of the range gear basses - in recent years I've been pleasantly surprised with the build quality. You don't need to change any parts - machine heads are perfectly adequate, change the settings on your amp rather than buy new pickups - probably won't stop anybody doing this though. If I could have bought a bass of this quality for £189 when I started playing I would have been well chuffed.
  13. My over-riding memory of mine was the weight...
  14. Mini - Corduroy
  15. I like highly figured timber but I think that your price range will limit your market and clientele. There are luthiers here who would build me anything I wanted for less than you state and that would be custom built rather than "mass produced".
  16. That was my experience with a fretless Hohner B2 back in the late 80s.
  17. Me and you and a dog named boo - Lobo
  18. I don't listen to Oasis but I'm told that Champagne Supernova is also a load of bolllocks.
  19. Lots of people wishing they had a spare £3k at the moment.
  20. I've taken a liking to butter cream recently. GLWTS
  21. Love purpleheart...comes up a treat.
  22. @Lozz196 has a few for sale currently. Take your bass round to his and buy the one you like.
  23. IIRC the laminated neck on my Silk bass contains Oak.
