There comes a point where playing a song as it was recorded must become an absolute bind, give the musicians a chance to be creative and they may just hit on something that others love. I saw Aswad where halfway through a song they seemed to get into an argument over a mis-played part only for Mr Forde to challenge Mr Gadd with "do you think that I would do that?" and launch into "54-46 was my number ". Superb intro for a classic tune.

So 99% done. Needs a string retainer (on order) and a the copper tape under the bridge tidied. Intonation is slightly off - I'll do this when I haven't been harassed by the dog. Thinking about gold knobs instead of plastic. Tuners are Gotoh Reverse - essential left handers - annoyed me at first and I bought a right handed gold set but now I have got used to them I may leave them on. Hopefully have the build thing out of my system now.

Thanks @JPJ - the cavity cover was already done but I have now shielded the rebate too. I wasn't sure whether the two were supposed to come into contact. Advice regarding shielding for the pickups was that this wasn't necessary but I'll ask the Tech's advice on this when he checks the wiring over. "soldering a wire between the shielding and the earth terminal of the output jack." - is this the same as connecting to the bridge?
